No woman should have to go through this.
At 17 Banaz Mahmod was forced to marry a man ten years older. She said he rped her and beat her until her ears bled. She escaped and fell in love. Her father and uncle had her rped, strangled and buried in a garden for kissing another man. She warned police five times. An officer called her melodramatic. Her body was found stuffed in a suitcase. Her sister Bekhal testified against their family despite death threats.
In the video below the full story of Banaz Mahmod plays out - from her own police recordings to the secret tapes of her killers laughing about how long it took her to die.
She was Kurdish. Born in Iraq. Came to Britain as a child. The marriage was arranged when she was 17. The man her family chose was ten years older and treated her like property from the start.
She left him. Met Rahmat. They were seen kissing outside a Tube station. Someone called her uncle within minutes.
Her father made his first attempt before the family council even met. He got her drunk, put on rubber gloves and came up behind her. She smashed a neighbor's window to escape. The officer who responded considered charging her for the broken glass.
Three men entered her home on January 24th 2006 while she was alone. They r*ped her, tortured her and strangled her for over 30 minutes. She was 20. The body wasn't found for three months.
Bekhal took the stand knowing the family would never forgive it. She has lived under a new name ever since. Two killers fled to Iraq. Detective Caroline Goode spent three years getting them extradited. It had never been done before. They were sentenced to life.
Banaz recorded herself on a police camera saying: if anything happens to me, these are the people responsible. She gave names. She gave dates. She was ignored.
Was Banaz Mahmod failed by the men who killed her, or by every person in authority who heard her say she was going to die and did nothing?
Don’t forget who we’re up against.
Podcasters Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan can't stop laughing at the thought of digging up Charlie Kirk's corpse and "doing it" again to him.
After laughing for 30 seconds straight, the women falsely claimed that Tyler Robinson was a 'MAGA person.'
They will celebrate your death, laugh uncontrollably, and still be fully convinced they're the "good guys."

Amongst other colossal failures of JD Vance as VP, here is his record on Middle Eastern Christians, country by country.
It is important to remember something. Before he became VP, @JDVance branded himself as an advocate of Apostolic Christians. He gave beautiful lectures about the horrifying collapse of ancient Christianity, including Assyro-Chaldeans in Iraq.
He soul searched on US foreign policy & used the collapse of Apostolic Christianity as a major talking point to elevate his brand as the staunch Catholic.
Once in office, he did nothing, said nothing, and left Christians in the Middle East to absorb the ramifications of his admin's reckless policy.
1) LEBANON: As it stands, Maronites in Lebanon face more pressure in Lebanon than ever before. With Iran gaining leverage following the war & Israel pounding the south, Christians in Lebanon are stuck in the middle. And guess what? They are leaving the country in droves.
2) SYRIA: Trump & JD supported the Erdogan-sponsored takeover of Syria, handing the country to radical Sunni Jihadism. The same people who were beheading Christians 15 years ago are now in the halls of the UN, praised as the pioneers of a "New Syria". Predictably, Christians have been systematically targeted in church bombings, massacres & ad-hoc kidnappings. And guess what? They're leaving the country in droves.
3) TURKEY: JD has supported the new "Ottoman realignment" in the Middle East which transformed Turkey into a superpower. This is very bad for Armenia, which hangs on the brink after the genocide in Artsakh, and it is also the crucial lever behind Syria. Over the years, Erdogan has gradually positioned himself as a powerbroker of Sunni Islam. Trump & JD helped consolidate this role with Syria as his first crown jewel, again with no consideration for the Christians in Syria & elsewhere.
4) IRAQ: Iraq is home to one of the oldest Christian communities in the world. The Assyrian Christians speak the language of Jesus Christ and existed in Mesopotamia before the Old Testament. Trump & JD talked a big game to Assyro-Chaldeans, partly because they play a role in swinging Michigan. In reality, JD did nothing. Despite all the US' leverage in Iraq, not an ounce of pressure was exerted to support the return of Assyrians to the country or to support a project for regional autonomy in Nineveh. The Iran War hit Assyro-Chaldeans particularly hard, as one of the last urban strongholds in the country (Ankawa) was located right near the US airbase in Erbil (within kilometres). And guess what? They are leaving the country in droves.
5) ISRAEL: Fanatics regularly attack Christians in Israel, spitting on them, attacking churches or desecrating "idols". This happens regardless of who is in power in the US. What is embarrassing for JD Vance here is that he exerted no tangible pressure on @GovMikeHuckabee or @netanyahu to stop these attacks. Huckabee is the quintessential Christian Zionist. JD, despite positioning himself as an Apostolic Christian, did not have the courage or the energy to elevate the status of Christians in Israel. If there was ever a moment to pressure Israel to take serious action against these fanatics, it was 2024-26, but the Apostolic JD was no match for the Christian Zionists (who apparently don't care if Catholic nuns get spit on).
THE BOTTOM LINE IS A LEGACY OF NEGLECT & A TOTAL LACK OF WILL: JD Vance, the Catholic convert, positioned himself as an advocate of Middle Eastern Christians. He highlighted the collapse of Assyro-Chaldean Christianity in Iraq in his critique of the Iraq War, crucial to his branding as a foreign policy realist.
If he had an ounce of initiative or courage, he could have used his role as VP to become a true advocate for Christians in the Middle East. He could have lobbied, across each country listed above, for crucial rights, resources & policy shifts that would benefit Christians.
Instead? He not only oversaw a regional war which has accelerated Christian emigration, he oversaw the rise of a Jihadi Syria which is killing Christians brazenly. He oversaw the continued displacement of Maronites in Lebanon. He totally ignored the Assyrians he lectured so beautifully about (whereas he could have become an advocate for their return & for the revival of Aramaic, the language of Christ). He didn't have the courage to fight the people who spit on Christians in Israel.
JD Vance was a colossal disappointment to Middle Eastern Christians. He used their plight to brand himself as the Apostolic Christian but this was nothing more than a marketing stunt.
Once he wielded real power, he was nowhere to be seen, and he forgot about his poetic lectures. Not only did he squander a massive opportunity to restore the status of Christians in the Middle East, he oversaw the transfer of power to people who hate Christians (whether in Damascus or Jerusalem).
Who would have thought? The first time we have a "based Christian admin" with crusader edits & crucifix tattoos, they didn't just ignore ancient Christianity, they continued to destroy it.
Masoud Barzani, born in Mahabad, Iran, is the patriarch of a political dynasty that has consolidated enormous power and wealth in northern Iraq.
Under the KDP’s rule, the Kurdistan Region has increasingly resembled a family controlled political and economic system, with serious allegations of corruption, land appropriation and discrimination against indigenous Assyrian Christians.
Investigations have exposed the Barzani family’s extensive overseas property empire, financial links to Kurdish conglomerates and millions in unexplained personal spending.
Reuters has also documented an extensive oil-smuggling network benefiting officials connected to the Barzani and Talabani ruling parties.
Meanwhile, Assyrians and other indigenous communities continue to raise concerns about land seizures, political intimidation and unequal treatment in their ancestral homeland.
This is not simply a question of Kurdish autonomy. It is a question of accountability, indigenous rights and who actually benefits from Iraq’s resources.
Northern Iraq’s Assyrian homeland cannot remain the private estate of a foreign political dynasty.

Lucian of Samosata (c. AD 120–180): The great Assyrian Satirist, Philosophical Critic, and Father of Science Fiction from Mesopotamia
📜 Lucian of Samosata was one of the most remarkable Assyrian intellectuals of the ancient world, celebrated for his extraordinary imagination, sharp satire, philosophical criticism, and pioneering contributions to science fiction.
🏛️ Born in Samosata, on the Euphrates River in northern Mesopotamia, he became an influential writer of the second century AD, leaving a remarkable literary legacy of approximately 70 works, including philosophical dialogues, satirical essays, imaginative adventures, and social criticism.
✍️ Writing in Greek, he challenged hypocrisy, superstition, religious deception, corruption, and the arrogance of philosophers who claimed wisdom but failed to practice it. Through humor and intellectual courage, Lucian questioned established beliefs and exposed the contradictions of human society.
🚀 His most extraordinary achievement was A True Story, widely regarded as one of the earliest surviving works anticipating modern science fiction.
🌕 Nearly 1,900 years ago, Lucian imagined humans traveling into outer space, reaching the Moon, encountering extraterrestrial civilizations, and witnessing an interplanetary war between the inhabitants of the Moon and the Sun.
👽 His narrative even described attempts to colonize the Morning Star, fantastic alien creatures, and an extraordinary device through which inhabitants of the Moon could observe events on Earth. These imaginative concepts appeared many centuries before modern space exploration and the emergence of science fiction as a literary genre.
🌌 Remarkably, Lucian openly acknowledged that his fantastic adventures were fictional, using the story to ridicule writers who presented invented tales as historical truth. His creativity extended to other astonishing imaginary worlds, including a gigantic whale containing entire communities, a sea of milk, and an island made of cheese.
📚 In another fascinating work, Icaromenippus, Lucian imagined a philosopher flying into the heavens and observing human civilization from above, using this extraordinary perspective to criticize human vanity and intellectual arrogance.
⚖️ His other important writings include Dialogues of the Dead, Dialogues of the Gods, The Fisherman, Alexander the False Prophet, and How to Write History, revealing his profound interest in truth, morality, religion, and human behavior.
🌍 Lucian's literary innovations helped shape later traditions of satire, fantastic voyages, and imaginative storytelling, influencing generations of European writers, including Jonathan Swift and Voltaire.
📖 Lucian's achievements represent an important contribution to Assyrian intellectual heritage and the wider history of world literature. His writings demonstrate that ideas associated with modern science fiction—space travel, extraterrestrial civilizations, interplanetary warfare, and imaginary technologies—were already being explored by an Assyrian-born author in the second century AD.
✨ Although science fiction developed into a distinct literary genre much later, Lucian's A True Story remains a groundbreaking precursor, demonstrating the remarkable power of human imagination across nearly two millennia.
🚀 His legacy deserves recognition not only as a master of satire and philosophical criticism but also as one of the earliest visionaries of science-fiction literature.

131 years ago today, the Massacres of Amid (Diyarbakir) began. Over 3 brutal days under Ottoman rule, armed Muslim mobs devastated the historic Assyrian and Armenian Christian communities of Diyarbakır—burning homes, looting livelihoods, and taking over 1,000 Christian lives.
Because past perpetrators were never brought to justice, Christians in the region are still being targeted today. Impunity breeds atrocity.
🌹 Today, the Assyrian Nation Remembers the Martyrs of Amid (Diyarbakır) — November 1, 1895 🕯️
131 Years of Remembrance — The Massacres of Amid, 1895
🌹 On November 1, 1895, the ancient city of Amid (Diyarbakır), one of the historic centers of the Assyrian nation, became the scene of devastating massacres against its Christian population.
Under the reign of Ottoman Sultan Abdulhamid II, violence erupted against Assyrian and Armenian Christians, whose communities had lived in the region for centuries.
For three days, armed mobs attacked Christian neighborhoods, murdering civilians, looting homes and businesses, setting buildings on fire, and causing widespread destruction throughout the city.
Assyrians belonging to the Syriac Orthodox, Syriac Catholic, and Chaldean Catholic Churches were among the victims, alongside Armenian Christians and members of other Christian communities.
🌹 Men, women, and children were killed, families were torn apart, and survivors were left without homes, possessions, or livelihoods.
Assyrian-owned shops, businesses, and workshops were among the Christian properties looted and burned during the massacres. The destruction of commercial districts devastated livelihoods that families had built over generations.
Contemporary reports documented more than a thousand Christian deaths in Amid, including Assyrian and Armenian victims, while many others were initially reported missing. Historical estimates of the death toll vary.
The violence also spread into surrounding towns and villages of Diyarbekir province, where Christian communities experienced killings, destruction, displacement, and, in some places, forced conversions to Islam.
🌹 The massacres deeply affected Assyrian Christian communities whose churches, cultural traditions, and historical presence had been rooted in northern Mesopotamia for centuries.
Amid was also the birthplace of the prominent Assyrian writer, poet, journalist, and national intellectual Naum Faik (1868–1930). Facing political pressure and threats under Ottoman rule, he emigrated to the United States in 1912, where he continued writing and promoting the Assyrian nation's language, culture, and national identity.
Twenty years later, during 1915 — Sayfo, the Assyrian Genocide, Assyrian Christian communities suffered further mass killings, deportations, and forced displacement under Ottoman rule.
The massacres of 1895 remain an important chapter in the history of the Assyrian nation and the wider history of Christian communities in the Ottoman Empire.
🌹 On November 1, 2026, the Assyrian nation commemorates the 131st anniversary of the massacres of Amid, honoring the memory of the Assyrian Christians and other victims who lost their lives in 1895.
