Looking to fill one remaining slot in the pre season diary. Do any clubs have a friendly on 8th July which needs cover. Ideally step 7/6.

Thats twice now your assistant has flagged immediately as offside was clear cut so why delay in blowing the whistle unless you want someone to potentially get seriously injured #varproblems #pgmol #offside #BREAVL

It has been scientifically proven, without any doubt whatsoever, that during a football game, match officials make less mistakes than players. 💪
It has also been proven that refs have more control of their emotions than players, even though match officials are under more pressure than players.
We need to applaud our referees at all levels of the game. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️ – at Kewstoke, England

You don't f*^k with our flag !!! 😡
Another learning point for VAR that football should learn from rugby. If a second yellow send off is actually a straight red instead of calling the player back just inform them in writing their sanction was upgraded from yellow to red #SixNations2024 #VARcontroversies

Everton fans are protesting the 'scale of the punishment' which has seen the club receive a 10-point deduction for breaching financial rules.

Seriously, do some people have zero respect for authority 😡
We have been supporting a ref who had a player from the West Country spit at him during a game.
The player who has been banned from all football for 7 years spat at the ref twice
The incident happened after his team had conceded a goal and were about to restart play from kick off.
The player started mouthing off to the referee and was shown a yellow card for dissent, being told he was to spend 10 minutes in the sin bin.
Seeing the yellow card, he said ‘you’re a fucxxng joke’. The referee then showed him a red card.
Seeing the red card, he spat twice at the referee (the second one landing on the referee) before the player walked off.
He continued his abuse as he walked off.
Honestly, what is wrong with people?

We've been made aware of an incident in the @HDAFL on a match over the weekend where a female referee suffered such significant abuse she has decided to quit refereeing. The offending club called her, amongst other things, 'a f***ing cheat' and a 'joke that doesn't belong on a football pitch'. This referee has been refereeing for just under a year, achieved a promotion and has been involved in cup finals already, all whilst suffering and recovering from a broken leg, and has now decided to put down the whistle in response to this issue.
We are aware that when the league were asked to respond decisively and strip the appointed official from the offending teams next home game, a small punishment for the offence committed, the management committee refused to do so deeming it to be an 'unfair' punishment. We would ask that the HDAFL Management Committee reconsider this decision and act to take a stand in supporting grassroots referees and stamping out the unacceptable levels of abuse that exist within the game.
If teams act like this then we believe they should not get a ref the following week.

Please remember, the laws of the game don’t have a pre-season.
Do your job, if players play up in pre season, card them…… and make sure you send the cards into the FA.
The old “ it’s only a friendly ref” is nonsense when you see how serious some players take pre season.
If they are taking it that serious, then so should you.
Enjoy the game but don’t let your standards slip.

One of our year 5 children has recently lost her mum. We were writing persuasive letters in English this week and she wrote this gorgeous letter. Any kind of message or response would be amazing. Please share. @DUALIPA @MrBoothY6 @Mat_at_Brookes @Talk4Writing @JamieThomasTFW

A ref sent this to us and posted it on our facebook page “This happened in Sunday league game last weekend.
All escalated from a penalty being awarded. To the club assistant calling me a cxxt bastard, prick, going to get me after the game.
Then players reacted after exchanging words. The player that fouled in the box for the awarding of the penalty had an altercation with the other. This mealy went on for 5+ minutes of fighting throwing fists, club Assitant hit players around the head, people being kicked in the head. Obviously I was off the pitch by this point. match abandoned and trying to witness what was happening.
Whilst collecting my bag, I was threatened, told it’s all my fault, I’m a racist, im a cxxt Also Followed to my car told I’ll find out where you live I’m coming for you, you ain’t getting paid you cxxt
All for The love of the game!!! But….”

This is why you shouldn’t have rugby markings on a football pitch 🤣🤣
