This is wonderful.
GOOSEBUMPS! 🤯 @HibernianFC's players are serenaded by their supporters with a spine-tingling rendition of "Sunshine on Leith" after their Edinburgh Derby triumph 🙌 #PremierSportsCup

I worked at the Telegraph when Conrad Black bought it back in 1986. Overnight they made 17 of the 20 in my department redundant. I stayed 3 months then quit. Horrible times.
The new owners of the Daily Telegraph have fired about 100 people from their newsroom. Many of these will be reporters just starting out in their careers. This doesn’t sound like investment to me and should worry anyone who believes in young reporters holding the powerful to account. The Telegraph was bought in June by the European media group Axel Springer for £575m now it is to be transformed from a newspaper “into a global, AI-powered premium media and intelligence business”. What does this even mean? In an all-company briefing and email on Friday morning, staff were told the title would rely increasingly on technology, data and AI to “reinvent the reader experience.” In other words they are firing junior reporters and senior opinion writers to make way for AI. It certainly will invent the reader experience from one where you feel you have a relationship with a columnist whose views you want to know, to be served AI slop. What kind of plan is this?

Why wasnt the bugler playing the last post at Spurs Palace?

Millionaire Hot Seat on @ITV is such a woeful programme. A total waste of half an hour, very often with no one winning anything.

How did it go? Selling like hot cakes I'll wager! 😁
I’ll be at London Bridge station today from 10am selling scarfs, come and say high if you’re in the area 😉#millwhu #millwall #westham

Maybe England fans could do a mass Morris dance in response
"They can win whatever they want, I will not row." Norway fan Emil Lappen explains to @BarbaraGSerra why he won't be taking part in the Viking row while watching his team play at the World Cup. Latest: trib.al/n33V6fo 📺 Sky 501, Virgin 602, Freeview 233 and YouTube

Sad to say as a Palace fan. But I think if Haaland had started France Norway would be 3-3 – at Bromley, London

Was Messi doing an impersonation of Eze taking a penalty?

ITVs decision to build their #worldcup2026 set semi-outdoors in New York doesn't seem such a great idea now. It's as if they're presenting the show from inside a wind tunnel. Talk about a bad hair day for their presenter!

I don't recall ever seeing a team being awarded a free kick after one of their own players fouls their own goalkeeper. But France did early on against Senegal.

Sign up that Qatar goalkeeper. He was brilliant against Switzerland.

That Swiss goal was offside, and no technology will convince me otherwise. It was plain to see.#QATSUI

That Canada goal being described as "a little nick" of a deflection is a bit of an under-statement #footballworldcup #usa2026

What relevance does having Manhattan as a backdrop have - except for any games taking place in New York?

Haven't done any political anagrams for a while. But here's one. An anagram of Robert Kenyon, the Reform candidate in Makerfield, is 'Born keen Tory'. Just saying.

I'd like to know why none of the panel think AI could be the downfall of mankind. Growing population, less humans needed in jobs and the influence of basically robots over human voices. Its madness. #bbcqt
I sent @bbcpress questions ahead of tonight’s show about the the failure to include a single critical voice & whether the lack of due impartiality is a breach of the BBC’s editorial code… ….I received no reply.

How come if you are such an expert you haven't posted in here for over a year? AI will be the downfall of mankind. Discuss!
As AI accelerates, what are the risks and opportunities for humanity? Are we ready to embrace this new reality? How do you think AI will impact our everyday lives in the next decade? #MoGawdat #AI #ChatGPT #DeepLearning #Artificialintelligence #Future #Technology
