One interesting thing about World Liberty Financial's new $WLFI buyback program is where the funding could come from.
Some revenue generated from USD1 stablecoin reserves may be among the sources used to fund purchases of $WLFI.
That means that the growth of a stablecoin business could potentially create another source of demand for its governance token.
WLFI also says the goal is to encourage active governance participation and consolidate voting power among long-term holders.
I find that part particularly interesting because it connects the business side of the ecosystem with the people involved in its governance.
Of course, the actual impact will depend on how the program is implemented over time.
Still, it's a model worth watching as USD1 and the wider WLFI ecosystem grow.
