Looked at Miami salon sites this week.
One has 151 Google reviews at 4.9 stars. Homepage headline: "Welcome Welcome Welcome Welcome."
Another has been open 25+ years. Footer copyright says 2035.
If you own a salon in Miami or Tampa, I'm glad to talk it through on a call.
Here it is again.
My salon, Mint on the Avenue, doubled its monthly revenue in six months. The site and local search did it.
Now I'm building the same thing for other salons. $3,500, search is optional.
Tampa next
I dropped the price on my first NEDB engagement to $2,000 today.
@boardyai talked me back up to $6,000.
$2k for two weeks is a thousand a week, and it changes who answers you. A CTO who can't approve $6k can't approve a rollout either.

15 years writing Rust and TypeScript, and I'm open to my next senior role.
Full-stack or AI. I built NEDB (~30k monthly downloads across npm and PyPI) and train my own models.
Remote, or anywhere in Orlando/Florida.
[email protected]
Postgres teams: you don't need a migration to get a tamper-evident history of every change.
NEDB runs alongside your database. Fixed-price scope on one table: shadow-write it, verify the history, get a rollback demo.
Not a free pilot.

Ask me anything about training small models. I’ll actually answer.

Everyone is renting dragons.
The big labs charge you per token for models you’ll never own.
I went the other way and trained my own:
• Cast — 3.3M params that turns plain English into database queries
• Imagine — 1.6B full fine-tune. 40/40 on held-out tests

How to Train Your Dragon: A Field Guide to Raising Your Own Small Language Model
10 chapters. Real process. No PhD required.
I'll write your a16z Speedrun application for you.
@a16z is putting $1M into early-stage founders building across tech, Al, and games.
I have a cool advantage here:
I've talked one-on-one with founders backed by al6z.
I've heard them work through ideas in real time, change their minds halfway through an answer, and light up when we hit the thing they understand better than anyone else.
That's what I want to find in your application.
Bring me a finished draft, half-written answers, or an idea you can't quite explain yet. We'll have one call. I'll keep asking questions until we get to the good stuff, then send you a complete draft built from your answers.
If I love the idea, I'll introduce you to an a16z-backed founder who understands what you're building. I know enough of them to find the right person.
Not promising that though, otherwise it wouldn't mean anything.
Comment "Speedrun" and I'll walk you through the process.

3. Unfortunately though and for a long time now, these very same OSS tools that users have come to enjoy using have had to find hacky ways to get the user to bring their own inference; worse still for commercial tools, they have constantly had to adapt their pricing strategy from credits based pricing, fixed subscription, BYOK etc.
Huge shipping day. 🔥
Migrated OurLynx.com fully onto embedded NEDB, including Premium + raffle data, hardened the migration path, added SMTP diagnostics, built configurable HireMe availability, timezone-aware scheduling, calendar export, better confirmations, and cleaner emails.

this made me think about the part of AI infrastructure we don’t really talk much about
It is not just what the system knows
It is being able to see why it knows it, what changed, and where that change came from
That is a really interesting problem to build around
NEDB ne-db.com
I have built what they need for production and discussions are taking place daily integrations numbers are rising aggressively
* Add memory to your data layer — NEDB preserves historical state instead of only the latest value.
* Trace causality — see what changed, when it changed, and what led to the current state.
* Integrate without a rewrite — designed to sit alongside PostgreSQL-style workflows and existing applications.
* Make AI outputs auditable — connect prompts, inputs, state changes, and resulting outputs with provenance.
* Debug across time — inspect prior states, reproduce issues, and understand incidents without guessing.
I left out my point. The point is that by adding NEDB-engine to your existing database stack you gain bi-temporal queries, time traveling version control and more
ne-db.com learn about the time traveling database; experience it yourself
