I am disturbed by reports that businesses in Philadelphia are being targeted for boycotts because they have Jewish owners. We are guaranteed the right to peaceful protest and to freedom of speech. It is fundamental to who we are as Americans. That includes the freedom to oppose the war in Gaza, and the actions of the Netanyahu government. Yet we must speak clearly when confronted with blatant antisemitism. Targeting businesses simply because they are owned by Jews — and on the eve of Kristallnacht, when Nazis terrorized Jewish families, businesses and synagogues — is unacceptable. I believe protesting in this way is harmful and misguided, and I urge the organizers to desist.

It's time to talk about what comes next. Looking forward to our conversation, today at 3:00 PM ET!
"Now We Act" – a new series in conversation with American elected officials on "Thinking About..." We will talk about the chance the Democrats have to effect a political and a systemic realignment – laying foundations for policies that will make daily life more prosperous, rewarding, and free.

It continues to be the greatest and most solemn privilege of my life to serve Berks and Montgomery Counties. Thank you for entrusting me with another term representing Pennsylvania’s Fourth Congressional District. Last night was a resounding rejection of the chaos, corruption, cruelty that has afflicted families throughout our district. And it was a message of hope and of clarity. I will carry this with me into the next Congress. And I will continue to fight for our neighbors — especially in bringing resources back to our communities — while always keeping our common humanity, decency, and goodness at the core of this work. Thank you. 🇺🇸

Our seniors deserve to live comfortably and to age with dignity. So, I was glad to secure Community Project Funding for the Montgomery County Housing Authority to make ADA upgrades to their residences. And it was a joy to visit Lee Towers in Conshohocken to see these improvements realized!

Early in my time in Congress, the late Elijah Cummings shared with me a message of hope. Let's remember we all have a stake in our democracy, and every voice deserves to be heard.

Government has a role to play in ensuring families can access healthy food. As our region confronts rising levels of hunger — in large part to SNAP cuts — we must do better for our most vulnerable. Thanks to FoodTank & WHYY for a conversation on nutrition and federal policy.

Children belong in classrooms and playgrounds, not in for-profit detention centers. Kids have a right to an education in the United States, but this administration will go to extreme lengths to deny it to them.

PA leads the nation in measles cases. 5 people have died. Governor Shapiro has taken this threat seriously, RFK Jr. has not. We cannot let this administration’s disregard for science reverse decades of public health progress.

Eight years ago, we witnessed the deadliest antisemitic attack in U.S. history — 11 worshippers killed at the Tree of Life Synagogue. Our Jewish community — and members of all faiths — deserve the right to worship unafraid. It is core to who we are as Americans. At a time of rising violent antisemitism, we must all do our part to reject hate. Today my prayers are with the families still grieving, the Tree of Life community, and the city of Pittsburgh. May their memories be a blessing.

This administration took us into a war they don’t know how to end.    We need real diplomats.

From pioneering vaccine treatments to cutting-edge research on HIV and heart disease, Montco is shaping the future of medicine. Glad to celebrate Merck’s historic $2.8 billion investment right here at home, strengthening our local economy and our commitment to the life sciences!

Today we're celebrating a $10 million federal investment in railroad infrastructure, strengthening connections across Pottstown, Stowe, Greshville, Boyertown, Bechtelsville, and Bally — including at the historic Colebrookdale Railroad! Together, we’re building a stronger, safer, more connected Pennsylvania.

Ukraine is our ally, yet this administration's actions suggest otherwise. We must stand with the people of Ukraine in their fight for sovereignty against Russia’s illegal, brutal invasion.

Congratulations to Glenside’s very own SSG Colin Doyle on being named U.S. Army Special Operations Command Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year at the annual AUSA Conference! 🇺🇸 I am in awe of the grit and sacrifice our servicemembers show each and every day. The future of our young servicemembers is bright — our nation more secure — with NCOs like SSG Doyle leading and training our most advanced military units. army.mil/article/296071/army…

Glad to kick off another year of our student taskforce! 📚 Our young people are bright, thoughtful, and curious about the world around them — and what they can contribute to it. I am energized whenever I can learn from their experiences and their spirit. Thank you to Abington School District and PSEA for hosting.

As the climate crisis worsens, our farmers, chefs, restaurants, and all those who feed us are hit hardest. Article 1, Section 27 of the PA Constitution guarantees the right to a healthy environment, and it is our responsibility to be stewards. I was fortunate to join Christa Barfield, founder of FarmerJawn, on her beautiful land in Elkins Park; the James Beard Foundation; and culinary leaders for a critical conversation about sustainability, hunger, and the necessary collaboration at every level of agriculture.

Members of Congress should not have to do the work this administration was required — by law — to finish months ago. Survivors of Epstein deserve justice, and Americans deserve the truth.
