I don't talk about the brand very much because I like to treat this account as a safe space to talk about oral health... BUT, I have been working on a new product for the last year and a half... and it's ready. We have a few tucked away to give away for our top creators but I begged @CalvinandNOBS to let me give some away to the X family. What is it? It's a microbiome balancer disguised as a breath mint. It looks and tastes like a breath mint but it's much more. Why did I make it? There is so much time for things to go wrong during the day between your morning and evening routine, and I found a cool way to make it an opportunity for things to go right. Ok so what does it actually do though? We call the formula FloraShift, and the name is very intentional. So many of us are walking around with an imbalance. The same type that can make you have IBS, acid reflux, a yeast infection can also happen in the mouth. This presents as bad breath, gum disease, cavities. We're even finding oral bacteria implicated in cancer, dementia and heart attacks. Oral dysbiosis causes a LOT of problems. Now, a mint won't solve that by itself but it *can* help nudge you in the right direction. FloraShift a symphony of ingredients chosen with the goal of restoring balance... encouraging the commensal and symbiotic bacteria, while curbing harmful bacteria. Not just thinking about what we can get rid of (like most products that just sterilize). Thinking about what we actually want to thrive: Xylitol: Starves cavity causing bacteria, stimulates saliva Beta-cyclodextrin: Plant-starch that will trap odor but more importantly impacts bacterial communication (quorum-quenching activity), interfering with bacterial chemical signaling. That communication can coordinate behaviors like biofilm formation. Basically a signal jammer for the bad bacteria. Magnesium citrate: Competition within the biofilm. Helping the bacteria we want hold their ground, and makes it harder for the pathogenic bacteria to hold on. L-arginine: Put useful bacteria to work. Certain mouth bacteria use it to produce acid-neutralizing compounds. Research also shows effects on biofilm structure and competition between health-associated and cavity-associated bacteria. Potassium bicarbonate: Buffer acid directly. A separate approach to acidity that doesn't depend on bacteria processing an ingredient first. It complements the bacterial route behind arginine. Potassium nitrate: The oral/systemic connection. Provides nitrate that certain mouth bacteria convert into nitrite, part of a pathway your body uses to make nitric oxide. Nitrate is also being studied for its effects on oral microbial communities. Zinc acetate: Odor chemistry and biofilm activity. Binds sulfur compounds involved in bad breath rather than just covering them up. Zinc also has laboratory evidence for antimicrobial and anti-biofilm activity. Peppermint + spearmint oils: More than the mint taste. They bring the flavor and aroma, but also have laboratory research behind their antimicrobial and anti-biofilm effects. So when I say FloraShift, I'm talking about the whole approach...What bacteria eat. How they communicate. How they compete. The biofilms they live in. The compounds they produce. That's what we @nobsroutines wanted to account for when making this. Not just some generic probiotic and calling it a day. Anyway, I have 20ish (maybe more) to give away. All I ask is that you comment with something that has helped your oral health, or even a problem you're currently struggling with. A share would be cool but not a requirement.

Researchers gave office workers who lived under LEDs a 60W incandescent desk lamp. Two weeks later, every one of them had their color vision improve by 25%. In 2022, the government banned those bulbs for "wasting" energy. But that "waste" is actually one of the most important nutrients our bodies depend upon, and the improvement lasted for weeks after the lamps were taken away (while nothing changed in the controls). Decades of forgotten research show the artificial light we replaced it with is a root cause of many inexplicable illnesses (e.g., insomnia, obesity, cancer, and hyperactivity in children). Here I show what that research found and why Senator Mike Lee’s bill to bring these bulbs back, which has now cleared a Senate committee, matters.🧵 midwesterndoctor.com/p/the-h…

a couple weeks ago I posted about how bone grows into titanium implants because cells can't find the boundary turns out there's a catch engineers have been trying to solve for years: titanium is too stiff (~110 GPa vs spongy bone's 0.02–3.7 GPa) so the metal takes all the load, and the real bone around it actually weakens because physics says "why maintain structure that isn't carrying stress?" (stress shielding) enter selective laser melted Zn-1Mg-0.1Sr gyroid scaffolds: → mathematically generated TPMS gyroid lattice (70% porous, 550 μm pores) → elastic modulus tuned right down to 2.3 GPa so it flexes like real cancellous bone → alloying zinc with 1% Mg + 0.1% Sr precipitates Mg2Zn11 & SrZn13 intermetallics, more than doubling strength over pure zinc (33.7 MPa) → degrades at 0.36 mm/year with zero hydrogen gas pockets and the wildest part as it dissolves, it turns its own surface into calcium-phosphate & zinc-phosphate minerals while feeding Zn2+ and Sr2+ ions that make bone-forming cells grow faster titanium tricks the skeleton into adopting permanent metal this thing holds the load, feeds the bone to rebuild itself, and vanishes when the job is done. radical engineering.
today while talkin to my friend (who’s a doctor) I learned something really crazy That the titanium implants don't just sit in bone they actually bone grows into them the oxide layer on titanium surface is chemically close enough to biological tissue that cells can't find the boundary so they erase it osseointegration isn't the implant holding on it's biology deciding the metal belongs there the skeleton adopts the foreign object as its own Cyborg vibes

This is a small case series of patients with refractory neuropsychiatric disorders such as depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD and more, who experienced significant improvement after subsequent diagnosis and treatment of MCAS. While the average person still thinks that histamine for example is just something related to allergies, let’s not forget that histamine acts as a neurotransmitter in the brain, influencing things such as arousal, attention, mood, sleep, and motivation. So when levels build up it can create: -Restlessness and physical + mental hyperactivity -Difficulty concentrating, brain fog, inattention -Irritability, impulsivity, or agitation -Sleep disturbances (insomnia or poor sleep quality) -Anxiety or sensory sensitivities -Hyper arousal -Racing thoughts, anxiety/panic, or restlessness -Insomnia or disrupted sleep cycles (common in manic phases) -Depressive symptoms (fatigue, brain fog, low motivation) during crashes -Emotional lability or energy fluctuations Of course, we don’t pull all these out of our asses. There are more reports noting that histamine flares can mimic manic/depressive episodes, and MCAS patients sometimes receive initial bipolar diagnoses.

Not my usual style to post half naked photos, but what the hell... 🤣 Also 49, no AI, no photoshop, pure human labor. I encourage people to compete on health, not wealth rankings or lambos. More health, more family = true wealth, and happiness.
Not bad for a 49-year-old! One year away from the half-century mark. Great birthday workout with my brother and trainer, Ossie. Feel free to DM me for tips on training, health, and wellness. And catch me October 11 at the More Life Summit: morelifemvmt.com

Exactly. Beyond reverse causation, this abstract suffers from severe prescription channeling bias. In prescription-only systems (like the UK), long-term melatonin scripts are reserved for older, medically vulnerable patients with severe, refractory sleep pathology—an established independent driver of cardiovascular decline. Furthermore, registry studies based purely on prescription codes fail to account for OTC use or dose-response dynamics. It is an artifact of database methodology, not pharmacology.

Fun fact: when you replace doctors with absolutely nothing, all cause mortality also drops.

Cancer Absolutely Hates Mushrooms. Pennsylvania State University researchers analyzed mushroom consumption on cancer risk, involving 19,500 patients. The subjects in the highest-consumption - 2/3 of an ounce of any type of mushrooms daily - had a 45% lower risk of developing cancer. Mushrooms are a powerful preventative. sciencedaily.com/releases/20……

I was about to spend $6k on braces for my son and he'd have to wear them for 3 years. I decided there had to be an alternative. I found Toothpillow and this is after 11 months of only nightwear with zero pain involved. His dentist says he will no longer need braces. 🤗

If you have an electric toothbrush, it vibrates your entire skull with a force many *thousand* times greater than the sum of every single sound you heard during the entire day..! Wouldn't it be nice, if this vibration wasn't at some random frequency in the 200-400 Hz range? Imagine if your toothbrush vibrated at the healing frequency 528 Hz, with its significant health benefits, like immediately lowering cortisol, increasing oxytocin, improving mood, decreasing pain as well as painkillers, and increasing testosterone? Well, I designed a toothbrush that does exactly that! Not only 528 Hz, which is a little high for *optimal* cleaning efficiency; you can actually select from a range of 30+ different frequencies! You can listen to all the frequencies right now, just follow the link in the next tweet, I made a virtual toothbrush you can play around with! Now, this is going to work kind of like a Kickstarter. If not enough people buy, there won't be a toothbrush, and I will refund everyone. But that's not going to happen, this will be a smashing success! I tweeted about my plan to do this last summer, and I got extremely positive response. But then something happened, something fantastic - I found a way to charge water with electricity with miraculous health results, so I put the toothbrush project on the shelf, and dedicated myself to water engineering, but now the time is right for the toothbrush. Any and all proceeds will go toward accelerating my water research (and feeding my family). If you like this, or me, or the water, please RT and spread the word!

She was buried under an avalanche long enough to starve her brain of oxygen. Seven YEARS later... 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱. Brain fog, slowed thinking, memory problems, severe headaches, and fatigue. So she tried microdosing 𝗜𝗯𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲. And afterward: Her brain fog completely disappeared. Her memory came back. Her reading comprehension improved. Her fatigue dramatically decreased. And she went from feeling cognitively “clear” just 1–2 days a MONTH... to 𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆. Ibogaine became famous for addiction treatment but this shows it may be doing things we never even expected, like: 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘳? I REALLY want to see this studied properly.
