Is it me or the nature of money
That’s odd and peculiar? Funny,
But when I have dough,
It goes quickly, you know,
And seeps out of my pockets like honey.

Musk is putting more than a quarter billion to support Republicans in the midterms, showing (1) Republicans aren’t on the side of average working people but with the multi-billionaires, (2) we have to tax billionaire wealth, and (3) we need to get big money out of our politics.

For decades, Republicans in Washington have told us that tax cuts would trickle down to workers.
Instead, wealth and power have accumulated in the hands of the richest 1% at the expense of the rest of us.
Trickle-down economics was never supposed to work.
It was a hoax.

Billionaire families have spent $1.7 BILLION on the 2026 midterms so far — a 5,200% increase since the 2010 midterms.
Citizens United is among the worst decisions in history. It corrupts our system every day.
Big Money is the root of our dysfunction.

If Democrats take both chambers, here’s what happens on day one.
Trump pardons himself, his family, and everyone within 250 feet of the Oval Office.
Not out of loyalty, but because he needs them not to testify.
Then he tries to make $20 billion on the way out, while calling the affordability crisis a hoax.
Here’s the paradox: as he gets worse, he becomes less powerful, and that makes him more dangerous.
The people around him are already doing the math. They’re not going to jail for this guy.
It ends in darkness for Donald Trump and a brighter horizon for America.

It seems ironic that JD Vance stated that Microsoft is the biggest H1B visa violator on the same day that Trump gives the CEO a Medal of Honor.
Weird 🤯
My sister's longtime dentist practice got bought out by a private equity-backed dental group four months ago.
Same office. Same hygienists. Same chairs. Zero new equipment.
Last week they sent the new fee schedule for anyone with insurance.
A routine cleaning that used to run $120 is now billed at $310, with the group quietly dropping several insurance plans they used to accept.
When patients asked why, the new regional manager gave a scripted line about "aligning with market standards."
Private equity figured out the same trick everywhere.
They're buying up the things you can't opt out of: dental, veterinary care, urgent care, hospice, because they know you can't just skip your kid's cavity or your dog's surgery.
This isn't inflation. It's leveraged debt getting loaded onto places you have no choice but to keep paying.
Clamping down on 351 exchanges is a good start.
Add a fee for loans issued against appreciated stock equity? Starting at 10million?

I need people to remember that Greg Abbott has the sole power to call legislative special sessions.
He called FOUR in 2023 to try to ram through unpopular school vouchers.
He called TWO in 2025 to force redistricting at Trump’s request.
He has called ZERO to address rapid and unregulated data center growth or property tax relief.
Vote wisely.

Capitalism helps people get ahead. Those who are fortunate in life are supposed to pay it forward to others via taxation.
W2 Workers are taxed
Stock equity is not taxed if you use it for loans or it's passed to your heirs. Top 1% do this.

Houston Chronicle today: Ken Paxton and his allies have spent millions this election cycle on ads that accuse his Democratic U.S. Senate challenger, James Talarico, of helping Chinese investors buy up Texas land.
But before unleashing the attacks, Paxton’s campaign took in $40,000 from donors who work for companies that facilitate the exact kind of Chinese investments he has criticized, according to a review of campaign finance documents by Hearst Newspapers.

Abdul El-Sayed: “We don’t live in capitalism. We live in corporate socialism. If you’re a corporation, you can buy a politician to get that politician to rig the system for you so you make more money and you ex out every other market in which you compete. You need good healthcare. You need a good education. We need childcare. We need good roads and bridges. We don’t need to send our money to big corporations to subsidize them, we need to be invested in people so they have the human capital to be able to do all the things as they graduate and come out”
