Yesterday was everything that makes the #T1D community so special ๐ Huge thanks to @TADtalkEvents #TAD and the incredible organising team for bringing us together at the @RCPhysicians for another brilliant #TAD2026. Thereโs something special about spending a day surrounded by people who just get it ๐ซถ๐ป
So many conversations, shared experiences, new connections and reminders that community is at the heart of it all. It was also great to spend time with fantastic @BT1DUK colleagues and volunteers. I felt incredibly proud hearing @KarenFAddington speak about the breakthroughs we're seeing in research, technology and support, and the role our community continues to play in driving them forward. It was a reminder that every breakthrough starts with people coming together, sharing their experiences and believing things can be better. And it was wonderful to see @parthaskar back on stage. The affection and support in the room spoke volumes about what he means to this community and all he has done for people living with #T1D ๐
Days like yesterday leave me feeling grateful, hopeful and reminded that none of us has to do this alone. So great to see many of you there!

40 years since that โlast-ball sixโ
#OnThisDay in 1986, Javed Miandad smashed Chetan Sharma for a SIX off the final ball, with Pakistan needing four runs to win the Austral-Asia Cup in Sharjah.
On the penultimate ball, Tauseef nudged the ball towards cover and ran. Azharuddin charged in, collected it, but missed the stumps from no more than four feet.
Had he hit, India would have won, as it was the last wicket pair at the crease.
Miandad remained unbeaten on 116 and was showered with numerous gifts for his match-winning knock.

Wonder how long #IndvPak contests will remain financial behemoths if this lack of competitiveness, especially in T20I cricket, remains & the gap between the two teams gets starker. For how long can it rely solely on the hype & lead-up or does the actual cricket not matter at all
