The Secret Service doesn’t have a recruiting problem, it has a hiring problem — how woke, DEI hiring practices have destroyed the world’s most enigmatic and foremost protective agency. @susancrabtree @RitaCosby @RickLeventhal @DavidAsmanfox

As someone with a front trench view of this fight, the Chinese, who are relentless, are still underestimated in this arena. They have already interfered with Europe’s (UK included) space sector and continue to be either deeply embedded or trying to make life difficult for those that refuse to get out of their way/accommodate them. China wants Europe to make bad decisions, and of course it wants America to do the same. Their objective is nothing less than dominance of space and key ‘pinch points’ related to space dominance. Why does it matter? Secure, survivable communications, future resources and effective defence.
Over the past 25 years, China has made major strides closing the gap with the US in space. The pace will pick up in the next 25 years as it aims not just to match the US but to surpass it bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
This is exactly the kind of crap that I witnessed for the 5 years that I was stuck with the worst assignment in the Secret Service - that of being the UN site agent. The UN is nothing more than a platform for corruption & contempt for the U.S. It has outlived its purpose.
Mike Waltz reveals on 'Hannity' that Secretary of State Marco Rubio has signed paperwork to expel a Cuban diplomat accused of shoving and attempting to assault an American diplomat.
"He's gone. He is going to be on a plane to Havana within the next 24 hours," Waltz says.

The High North, including the Arctic Circle and areas adjacent to it, has become a key focus for strategic defense and communications in recent years.
There are concerns that the critical infrastructure, including undersea cables and energy supply routes in this demanding, hostile environment are not adequately resilient or protected.
Rivada's #Outernet bypasses the vulnerabilities of subsea cable infrastructure entirely. Its space-only design creates a secure, private orbital backbone, ensuring true pole-to-pole coverage. It enables governments and enterprises to route their most critical data through a path-diverse and fully sovereign layer of connectivity.
By delivering resilience not as an overlay but as architecture, the Outernet transforms how we secure the systems that will define the future of the polar regions. For missions where latency, security, and sovereignty are non-negotiable, it is the only viable path to uninterrupted control.

One of the many reasons that my excellent team at @rivadaspace has spent years, and hundreds of millions (and counting) developing the #Outernet. A the only global commercial data network that can survive a catastrophic loss of the internet.
RUSI's @c21st_sailor spoke to @Telegraph on the UK’s subsea cable vulnerability: “The difficulty would come if there are simultaneous breaks at different geographical locations which removes the redundancy you have. And how do you respond to that if you have one or no vessels?”

So they sat in line to yell for a whole 5 seconds before getting kicked out? I'd be shocked that they took the time off from work to do this, but we all know they don't work

🚨🚨Secret Service Director Sean Curran moves quickly to fill the leadership vacuum in the No. 2 spot after Deputy Matt Quinn announced his retirement on Friday, effective Nov. 7, citing family reasons.
Mark Ryan is a 25-year veteran agent who has held several leadership roles, including the deputy Special Agent in Charge of the Special Services Division. He spent six years in the Presidential Protective Division.
Quinn is stepping down amid a number of drone controversies, including conflict-of-interest questions about counter-drone contracts and his former employer, Fortem Technologies, the maker of the Secret Service's Drone Hunter. Curran and Quinn played up the Drone Hunter technology by displaying its capabilities to CBS News' 60 Minutes in a segment just days before Quinn announced his plans to leave the agency.
The Department of Homeland Security just inked an up to $1 BILLION deal with Fortem in late August. What role, if any, did Quinn play in securing that deal for his prior employer? Was it competitively bid? Did Quinn have stock in Fortem that benefited from the deal-- is he returning to Fortem? Are there technological problems with the Drone Hunter platform that has prevented it from being fully implemented in the Secret Service other than for training purposes?
The Secret Service is not responding to a series of questions that RealClearPolitics submitted about it the day before and the morning of Quinn's announced resignation on Friday.
Here's my latest story in the link below about all the recent drone controversies and questions surrounding Quinn's departure.

🚨🚨BIG NEWS DAY — @RCPolitics EXCLUSIVE: DEPUTY DIRECTOR OUT AT SECRET SERVICE amid questions about his conflicts of interest over the agency's counter-drone technology.
Deputy Director Matt Quinn served 23 years as a Secret Service agent before retiring in 2021. He then went to work at drone-manufacturer Fortem Technologies, which sells the DroneHunter product, as a senior vice president for three years before returning to the agency last year to serve as deputy director.
As @RCPolitics first reported, Quinn was criticized by several current and former Secret Service agents for admitting during a mostly softball Sunday CBS 60 Minutes interview that the Secret Service was not prepared for an attack by a drone swarm.
The piece featured a DroneHunter demonstration without mentioning several technical problems the platform has experienced.
RealClearPolitics over the last 48 hours submitted detailed questions to the Secret Service about some of the statements made during the 60 Minutes interview about the drone technology, its effectiveness, and the agency's track record in taking out drones.
The 60 Minutes report did not mention Quinn’s prior work for Fortem.
The Secret Service did not respond to RCP's questions. Quinn last day will be Nov. 7, sources tell RCP.
FULL, DETAILED @RCPolitics story to come...stay tuned.

Earlier this week, our Deputy CEO & Chief Program Officer Clemens Kaiser participated on the "Space, Resilience and Industrialisation" panel at Austrian Space Day, highlighting how Rivada’s #Outernet provides new secure and resilient connectivity possibilities for commercial and government organizations worldwide.
Our gateway-free network architecture removes the need for traditional ground gateways, offering a fundamentally different approach to global data connectivity. Sovereignty, resiliency, redundancy, and security are baked into our network design and are key to the new communications paradigm.

NEW: Secret Service on high alert at Trump's Alaska rally. One agent puts his hand on his gun but doesn't draw it.
The threat level is is so high this year, as @SecretService Director Sean Curran discussed in the 60 Minutes interview on Sunday. To say these men and women are working overtime to protect the president would be a ridiculous understatement.
I'm hoping whatever caused this reaction has subsided. Our nation owes these men and women our deepest thanks for their vigilance.
