Mordekaiser update
I kept running into power cost issues, so I've added reksai and grayback
Imperial Decree moved to sideboard for Kennen. It's not actually that helpful against Riven. You should just try to wall them out with stuff like Shen and Hopeful. That's been way better
Star spring and stella are mandatory bans, as well as some other cards in other decks
But looking at the stacked deck ban, theyll probably just hit green riven and discipline or something dumb and call it a day
I think he might be cooked
The only way to try and beat a good riven that actually somewhat works is to turbo hold battlefields with cards like shen and hopeful. If they get heron on curve, the game is over
Playing into kennen requires an entirely different approach

I really think that if they're going to print generic staple cards, they need to do it in cycles
Just printing a card like Discipline by itself with maybe 1 comparison feels like a bad idea
If they're going to give green this, I think every color should have something
It always comes back to this
The only colors that have good answers to green/purple cards are green and purple
Everything else is praying riven doesnt draw at least average or they lose
Next set they should only print good cards for the other colors
Here is the list I have been trying with him. It actually feels very strong. You can sometimes just put down some absurd numbers early/mid game and might-bully the opponent out of the game. The sideboard needs work
The more I play with this guy, the more I'm seeing value in him
Most of the time, the threat of playing him is gonna be better than actually playing him. Counters for him are everywhere, and getting hit by star crossed or not so fast or trading with zhonyas is awful
However...
I think the hand-check potential he brings to the table may make him worth it, despite the big risks he also brings
I am currently testing 3 different builds of Mordekaiser
The Decree build and the discard build are what I'm liking. The Herald build is just so bricky with so many dead cards. Your early/mid game just blows with that version
Mordekaiser is so fun and so sick, but I'm really surprised with how little he got from Radiance
You would think that more cards from his debut set would go in his deck, but no not really. It's just Trif Captain, maybe Tracker, and his sig spell. That's all he got
