One year ago @ORE migrated from POW to GRID MINIG. The team wanted to solve the value leak & unfair distribution problems. Below an overview of protocol stats from @Blockworks (mostly) and @DefiLlama Just images and numbers. Happy Anniversary ⛏️⛏️⛏️ 🎉 🎉

🌟My portfolio beat the S&P 500 by almost 4x this month
Me: +3.45%
S&P 500: +0.90%
No leverage, no gambling. Just good entries, managed risk and patience.
Boring wins.

This hit a spot:
For the $Ore reserve, TIME is not dead capital. Time is a chance to compound.
Why?
Per the model in the Reserve documentation, the effective multiplier on deployed capital grows as the bids wait:
Day 0: 2.65x
Year 1: 2.74x
Year3: 2.94x
Year 5: 3.16x
No new inflows are required. The bids just get thicker.
Everyone, go full DEX
The Binance hack doesn’t bother me at all when it comes to owning $ORE on Solana.
$ORE doesn’t need Binance to establish ownership, self-custody, settlement or monetary integrity.
A CEX can provide liquidity and trading access, but it has no authority over who owns $ORE.
That’s the difference between owning money/SoV and holding an exchange IOU
"Proof of work works against distribution of a currency." — @KEMOS4BE
What went wrong with PoW?
In Kemo's view, the growing advantage of sophisticated miners works against fair distribution.
ORE replaced computational proof of work with virtual mining, opening participation to anyone with a @solana wallet.

not my @oreparty but consider these quite good solana:oreoU2P8bN6jkk3jbaiVxYnG1dCXcYxwhwyK9jSybcp mining settings
just get 1 or more nfts from any/all of these parties and see how much uORE (unrefined ORE) you can mine with other people according to settings that a miner sets
each nft you get buys a % from solana:G1jonmoSEbMJSwEg1AmgDAJq2utmuBSZct8oqttBf9rT and by holding 20+ usd in solana:G1jonmoSEbMJSwEg1AmgDAJq2utmuBSZct8oqttBf9rT you get a bit of solana:oreoU2P8bN6jkk3jbaiVxYnG1dCXcYxwhwyK9jSybcp from trading volume (don't expect to retire next day...be realistic)

Do you mine $ORE or $BTC or are thinking of starting? Are you a Midcurve Miner? Find out at midcurvemining.com -- your grand children will thank you.
Embrace The Grid
To resuscitate SoV hard money, it must be de-industrialized.
$ORE is that new heartbeat.

Replying to @Bankless
Very good article.
One thing that many people don't realise, Proof of Work (POW) mining in traditional sense for bitcoin or zcash are also 'lottery' style just like @ORE and that's after all the high cost of hardware & electricity.
solana:oreoU2P8bN6jkk3jbaiVxYnG1dCXcYxwhwyK9jSybcp just takes out the high hardware entry barrier and make it available for regular ppl like us ⛏️

Someone smarter than me could explain it better, but when I was thinking about @jvisserlabs discussion on deleveraging and low risk capital, the reason why I think solana:oreoU2P8bN6jkk3jbaiVxYnG1dCXcYxwhwyK9jSybcp with its reserve will be perfectly suited to an Ai environment (other than the obvious speed and low transaction cost inherited from Solana for Ai agents trading tokenised stocks, as often described by @Investanswers )
..is that the reserve offers a mechanism to both push up the floor value of $ORE while also keeping the price from over extending too far and creating too much downside risk… so, keeping it in a volatile range enough to remain ‘interesting’ but not too over extended and risky. Just my thoughts at the moment based on how the liquidity in the reserve is growing at each price level… ie, when the liquidity thickens up, the price of $ORE goes up with it… and if the spot price moves up too fast, the thin liquidity levels pull the price back a bit until the liquidity thickens up again…. a bit like a surfer manoeuvring around the pocket of a wave as it pushes the surfer forward.
… and from my understanding, this is important as serious tokenised stocks on Solana present opportunities and risks as companies are born, disrupt, or get disrupted with Ai breakthroughs, and as investors race to narratives and disruption while over leveraging (to either make the most of opportunities or race against the competition during Ai build out). Does that make sense? Am I understanding this correct?
The solana:oreoU2P8bN6jkk3jbaiVxYnG1dCXcYxwhwyK9jSybcp reserve hits half a million! 🥳
…and what a time to do it too!
Watching one of @jvisserlabs recent videos on the deleveraging going on with Ai at the moment, … it really got me thinking 🤔 on the importance of low risk capital as the Ai build out continues, and how the $ORE reserve is well positioned in relation to this.
Both Jamie Dimon and Peter Shiff have mentioned in the past their criticism of Bitcoin being backed by nothing, which many Bitcoiners take issue with…… but what are the chances that they are on to something? and that to have a scarce asset with a diverse range of other valuable assets, reserved and ready to buy back said scarce asset may prove to be very valuable during times of volatility, change, uncertainty and price discovery?
….. I’ll leave the big brain thinking to the big brains.. but all I know is, being in $ORE during this past week has felt very comfy indeed! ⛏️
The Hard hat stays on!
Daily liquidity deployment to @ORE Reserve appears to have stabilized around 20k for 2 consecutive weeks. That's 600k + per moth!
The Reserve will reach 1 million by the end of the 3rd week of November.

Gen Z doesn't buy Bitcoin. Gen Z mines $ORE.
This is the vibe of the mines:
SOUND ON 🔊
Gen Z found its Bitcoin, and it's not a memecoin.
$ORE:
- It's up about 170% in 3 months.
- The protocol Reserve just crossed $500K, built from buybacks, not VC money.
- It has bought 729 ORE at an average of $105. ORE trades at $166 today.
- Anyone can mine it from a browser.
Bankless is writing about it, and Discord is calling for a $1M Reserve by December.
You're early. Act like it. ⛏️
