What India has now is someone who wants to win the next general election and every state election till then, and be PM for basically forever. So he will not make any disruptive move and backpedal at the slightest pushback, and who thinks glacial progress is compensated for with "stability," even if at the cost of huge political concessions to pressure groups and the opposition.
This is not a good enough deal for an aspirational Indian who wants to experience prosperity within his lifetime (and not at some distant post-retirement age).
It will make it easy for Rahul to win ONCE and then introduce privace sector reservations.

A two-language rule would be honest if every school in Tamil Nadu followed it. They don’t.
Government schools teach Tamil and English. Many CBSE schools already teach a third language, including some linked to TN politicians.
Tamil Nadu still blocks Navodaya and PM SHRI, while KV schools already exist in TN. The Centre has held back thousands of crores for it.
Defend Tamil. Don’t deny the double standard, or the cost to those kids.
