… but Heathrow is paying for it?
Interesting - James Cleverly, speaking to @Jo_Coburn on @TimesRadio says 'I'm skeptical of a third runway' says he and Kemi on a different place on this and he's worried about the 'price tag' as infrastructure projects spiral out of control

STOP THE PRESS! MEDIA IS BIASED... OR IS IT? What is driving the collapse in trust in mainstream media, and what are its consequences? Are critics right that biased or partisan journalism requires greater regulation? Can any form of external regulation genuinely restore trust, or should media organisations and platforms remain free to set their own agendas? The commentators were puzzling, too. Things like, "No matter the off-field stuff, that's gorgeous football!" But that's the POINT. The gorgeous football is the RESULT of exactly what they're accused of.

There’s no “process” to be waiting for If you are found guilty of murder, you go immediately to prison, where your legal team may initiate an appeal process You don’t get to hang out in your yacht until the 37years of appealing as run its course

There's a lot of players tapping that City badge who will gladly leave in a few months (or as early as January) when they get relegated and/or the club says they can't pay them.

Nothing screams raw, unbridled passion quite like players kissing the corporate logo of a ÂŁ900m accounting fraud. I'm sure they dreamt of playing for the Abu Dhabi United Group since they were kids.

Nothing will keep this story and the pressure for sanctions stronger than Man City continually winning and being dominant. It’s going to be the season-long drumbeat. Even more so if they did know in summer about this and went even harder in transfer market as a result.

If I may say so, I think you misunderstand. Politically-motivated cuts in BBC funding and the encouragement of people not to pay the licence fee are forcing these immensely painful cuts. It’d be nice if the blame were placed where it belongs.

Joking aside, Andy Burnham should not in any way be defending Manchester City, or the club's owners, before a punishment has been issued. To do so makes it look like he is placing pressure on the football authorities. He needs to just stay out of it.

Etihad threatening to sue. UAE reportedly intimating that UK investment could be pulled. A Prime Minister couching any criticisism. If this sorry saga doesn't convince you that state ownership of football clubs should never be allowed, nothing ever will.

What’s revealing about the idea that City’s appeal is likely not to be heard till after the season is over is they could chalk up another league title and/ or champions league before then. And would ‘we’ then still be saying ‘oh you can’t strip them of their latest pots cos this is just about 2010-2018’ ? It’s obvious that everything post 2010 has been fraudulently won and should be stricken from the record.

Just own it lads. You’re not disrupters. You’re supporters of financial dopers. Cheating dopers. And you’re bang to rights. Most of us (supporters) wouldn’t have done differently in your position, in terms of enjoying the ride. But that means absolutely nothing. You took the good times, now be big enough to take the pain. And the procrastination and denials and the dull predictability of your lawyered up, filibustering appeal only makes you 1000% more guilty.
Well said Prime Minister. Everyone I have ever met at @ManCity over years has been resolute about these charges. IF the club is guilty and is found to be so we will all still support the club we supported before the purchase.... today has been a hard day for City partly as the leak has been calculated to make it so. The silence from Etihad and PL may be far more significant than the leak. I hear no sign of panic in Manchester.
