This video is a painful reminder of where Rwanda came from.
To the survivors: we walk with you. Your pain is ours, your resilience is our strength. The journey of healing is long, but you are not alone.
To the youth: Rwanda is yours. Guard it. Protect our unity. Defend the dignity and progress that was rebuilt from ashes. Never take it for granted.
To the RPF/RPA and President Kagame: you brought a nation back from the edge of extinction. You brought me, my grand parents and my parents back home. you gave Rwanda a second chance at life Thank you will never be enough.
To those who committed these crimes: this will forever stand as a reminder that what you did was not conflict, not tribal war, not a civil war and definitely not Hutu-Tutsi conflict but Genocide against the Tutsi. History will never be rewritten.
To the children of those perpetrators, scattered across the world from the DRC to Europe and America, who choose denial and distortion: the truth lives on. It lives in memory, in testimony, in history. No lie will ever bury it.
To the countries that continue to shield those responsible: we see you. Silence and protection do not erase accountability.
To the reporter who produced this @KoinangeJeff Thank you! history will remember this report for years.
And as the child in this video says:
“May we never see what happened in Rwanda anywhere again. May ‘Never Again’ not remain empty words, but become a promise the world finally keeps.”

The moment a mediator starts to issue threats and sanctions against a party to the mediation, he ceases to be a mediator and must recuse themselves from the mediation, replaced by another should the parties involved in the conflict choose to continue with mediation as the path for resolving the grievances.
Should the mediator refuse to recuse themselves, the sanctioned party has every right to withdraw from the mediation - it is the natural reaction to a self imposed mediator.
Should the aggrieved party remain in the mediation, it accepts - overtly or covertly - that what it is involved in is no longer a mediation but something else. In fact, all parties remaining are aware that they are participating in something other than mediation.
Therefore, the U.S must either recuse itself from mediation or walk itself back to a posture of a mediator. Otherwise, it implicitly enjoins the FARDC/FDLR alliance, a tripartite underpinned by a genocidal ideology.
Finally, Rwanda must come to terms with the idea that it is no longer involved in mediation, either walk away or readjust its posture towards a reality that what it is involved in has ceased to be a mediation.

“DRC officials touring the world to sanitize the FDLR and blame Rwanda will not deliver peace”
— Rwanda’s Spokesperson, @YolandeMakolo
I once met Ingabire Victoire during Umuganda. I asked her about this guy and why she chose to work with him, knowing that he was using a false identity and had been accused of killing people during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi Her response was, “Uriya ni umunyapolitiki kandi amahanga aramwemera” (“That man is a politician, and the international community respects him”).
I wanted to slap her!
“I participated in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi at the school in Gitwe, where I was the director. I later fled the country, became a member of FDU-Inkingi, and led FDU-Inkingi in France. I returned to Rwanda with Victoire Ingabire, was arrested and convicted of genocide, and apologized to those whose relatives I killed. I committed myself to changing completely and reforming myself.”
— Said Joseph Ntawangundi, a genocide convict from Bugesera District who shared his testimony and promised never to betray #Rwanda. He is among the 300 who have finished serving their sentence.

Rwandas inaction to the FDLR threat sponsored by the DRC government against Rwanda is what may cause "far reaching consequences" to Rwanda. "US Sanctions" is the small price serious nations pay to gain long lasting peace.
How does sanctioning Rwanda’s Minister of Defence and Zigama CSS help bring peace in the DRC?
This whole sanctioning thing is confusing 😂
