It's my #birthday today. Yet I woke up to a headline that broke my heart: #563_women died while giving birth. As I celebrate another year of life, I recommit mine to fighting for gender equality, human rights, and safe motherhood. Every mother deserves to live.

Five years on, the vision is clearer and the impact undeniable. What began as a small student group is now a growing movement across Africa. I’m deeply proud of the journey, the lessons, and every life touched. This is only the beginning.

April Fool's Day, but here's something that's no joke:
🆘Every 10 minutes, a woman dies at the hands of her partner or family members.
🆘 < 40% of the women who experience violence seek help of any sort. Most of the time, their first point of contact is women's organizations embedded in their communities, most likely led by women survivors like them.
Start April by joining us to stop #VAWG & support frontline women's orgs: bit.ly/giveuntf
