Nikolas Ferreira, the 30 year old federal deputy from Minas Gerais who just became the most voted congressman in Brazilian history with over 3.1 million votes, is about to have his passport revoked and be banned from leaving the country.
Of course, he’s a right-winger and the Communists now wish to destroy him.
He was elected city councilor in 2020 with the second highest total ever in the capital, then federal deputy in 2022 with 1.49 million votes. Reelected in 2026 by doubling that number. Social media giant. Conservative Christian. Family, free markets, liberty.
One of the biggest voices on the Brazilian right.
They’re citing a 2024 “injúria” case over comments about Lula and calling bolsonarismo a “gangue” as the reason for the seizure.
This is pure lawfare. Steal an election, then go after the most popular young right wing deputy in the country before he can even speak. This election “victory” has the Communists more emboldened than ever.
Brazil is the new Venezuela. Moraes and Lula are the new Maduro. Maybe even worse.

Dictatorship on full swing in Brazil!
A PT congressman, member of Lula’s far-left party, incredibly admits today on the House floor: “I have information from the Federal Police that they’re going to arrest many Bolsonaro supporters.”

Should have suggested more than 4 DReps or none at all. Does EMURGOROI even care about distribution of voting delegations?
Proper saturation for DReps is ~80M ADA
@hix_coffeepool has the data
Seriously glad to see these kinds of decisions sunsetted from our ecosystem
EMURGO & Yoroi DRep Update: De-registration on 30 November 2026
Further to our announcement on 3 August regarding our intention to de-register our DRep role in Cardano governance, the EMURGO and @YoroiWallet DReps will be formally de-registered on 30 November 2026.
If your wallet is currently delegated to either the EMURGO or Yoroi DRep, please delegate to another active DRep of your choice before 30 November 2026 to ensure you can continue to withdraw your staking rewards and keep your voice represented in Cardano governance. De-registration date may be extended further based on extenuating circumstances.
When choosing a new DRep, we encourage delegators to look for:
- A consistent voting record, clear public rationale, and accountability to delegators
- Long-term commitment to the Cardano ecosystem
- Broad commercial and technical expertise
- A balanced, pragmatic approach that weighs commercial, technical, and governance priorities equally
We would like to highlight DReps such as the @Cardano_CF, @nagamaru_panda , @phil_uplc , @SIPO_Tokyo and @SociousDAO , who have consistently demonstrated these characteristics.
How to re-delegate:
- Open your Cardano wallet and go to the Governance (or Delegation) section.
- Browse the list of active DReps or paste the DRep ID of your chosen representative .
- Confirm and sign the delegation transaction in your wallet.
- As always, governance delegation on Cardano is entirely non-custodial, and your ADA never leaves your wallet.

EMURGO & Yoroi DRep Update: Upcoming Changes to Our DReps
As we continue to support affected users of the @secondfiapp security incident and make further progress towards the recovery phase, we want to give notice of two governance decisions: our immediate resignation from the @IntersectMBO board and our intention to de-register our DRep role in Cardano governance in due course.
Both decisions reflect our focus on directing our full attention and resources toward the recovery effort and ensuring affected users are properly supported through this process. We recognize that our seat on the Intersect board and our DRep role each represent meaningful responsibilities within the Cardano governance ecosystem and we do not take the decision to step back from either lightly.
When you migrate your wallet, it will be automatically undelegated from both your stake pool and your DRep. You will then be free to choose a new DRep that best represents you.
We will share full guidance, including timing, as the migration tool launches.

One other important note: Moraes himself is engulfed in the worst judicial scandal in Brazil's history: on that makes most other scandals seem trivial by comparison. His family received roughly $40 million (!!!) from a corrupt billionaire (Daniel Vorcaro) shortly before his bank (Banco Master) collapsed: it was basically a ponzi scheme stealing from depositors and investors.
Moraes repeatedly lied by denying he had contact with Vorcaro. But then messages from Vorcaro's phone were obtained by the police and leaked. showing that the banker spoke extensively and continuously with Moraes after paying his wife these obscene sums, guaranteeing Moraes and his family generational lavish wealth.
Among those chats: Vorcaro repeateadly asked Moraes about the status of the police investigation against him, and specifically asked Moraes when he should flee the country to avoid justice (he was boarding his private jet to Dubai when the police nabbed him at the last second).
Moraes deleted all of his messages to Vorcaro to prevent investigators from learning what he told the banker about pending police operations or anything else (behavior that Moraes has cited as "obstruction of justice" to justify imprisoning others before trial). So we don't know what Moraes told the banker about pending police operations of if he tried to help him flee to Dubai to avoid arrest: because Moraes erased his messages.
That's what makes it extra bizarre -- just surreal -- that it is now Moraes of all people who is posturing as the judge who wants to ensure that Flavio Bolsonaro is barred from leaving Brazil (even in the absence of criminal charges).
In other words, Moraes waited a whole SEVEN MINUTES before returning to his years-long role as chief persecutor of his political enemies, using blatantly abusive judical authorities to carry this all out: abuses so severe that even his prior allies have begun denouncing it as a grave danger to democracy. Does any of this look or feel or smell like "democracy"?

I am pleased to announce that the DRep DAO project has officially concluded.
I asked the community for their trust, and our team delivered. Together with several DReps, we have built a platform that is now actively in use.
We are currently preparing a proposal template for on-chain governance that proposers can utilize. This will enhance the quality of the decision-making process.
Voting is currently underway on the platform, with OGs casting their votes on the first wave of RFPs proposed by the Alpha Growth team.
Our original objective was to deliver a platform capable of substitute Catalyst. Such a platform now exists. We are ready to deploy and use it, should the community wish for us to do so.
For context, the development of the platform began at a time when it was unclear what would happen with Catalyst.
The project is fully open-sourced.
My thanks go to the team and all the DReps who contributed to its development.
This also marks a shift for me. You have primarily known me as an educator and DRep. From this point forward, I am also an active Cardano builder.

This includes work such as Beyond Minimum Viable Governance (Beyond-MVG), bringing existing research into a more structured and accessible format.
The section will serve as a reference point for understanding governance effectiveness, participation, decentralization, institutional accountability, sustainability, incentives, and potential improvements to Cardano's governance mechanisms.
🛠️ Research, Writing & Editorial Development
These publications represent more than a collection of links.
The work combines research, original writing, synthesis, critical analysis, source curation, reconciliation of fragmented information, historical updates, editorial restructuring, and localization.
Some articles required substantial writing and the development of new explanatory content. Others focused primarily on organizing, contextualizing, and adapting existing educational resources.
The goal is to make governance knowledge easier to discover, understand, verify, and use, while preserving references to original sources.

📖 Introducing the Agora Knowledge Base.
#Cardano governance has no shortage of information. But how accessible, organized, up-to-date, and reliable is that information?
Today, we're introducing a new initiative to address that challenge.
👇 Discover what we are building, why it matters, and how you can contribute.
The Agora Knowledge Base aims to bring together Cardano's fragmented governance knowledge into a structured, accessible, and verifiable reference resource.
🔎 Research. Curate. Reconcile. Connect.
Here's what we're building, why it matters, and how you can contribute. 👇
📚 What is the Agora Knowledge Base?
The Agora Knowledge Base is an educational and reference initiative dedicated to Cardano governance.
Its purpose is not to replace existing documentation, but to connect, contextualize, and make it easier to navigate.
Constitutional documents, CIPs, technical specifications, governance records, institutional publications, research reports, and educational materials already contain a considerable body of knowledge.
The challenge is bringing these resources together in a way that helps people understand not only individual concepts, but also how they relate to one another.
🛠️ Our Editorial Approach
Building the Knowledge Base involves several complementary activities:
🔬 Research: Identifying and examining relevant primary and secondary sources.
🗂️ Curation: Selecting and organizing existing documentation and educational resources.
🧩 Reconciliation: Comparing sources, identifying inconsistencies, and consolidating fragmented or overlapping information.
🔄 Updating: Incorporating historical developments, institutional changes, and technical context.
✍️ Writing and synthesis: Transforming dispersed information into coherent, structured explanations.
🌍 Localization: Making governance knowledge accessible in English and Portuguese.
🔗 Traceability: Preserving references so readers can independently verify information.
Some materials require substantial research and editorial development. Others benefit primarily from careful curation and consolidation.
The goal is not to reinvent existing knowledge, but to make better use of it.
🗃️ What does it cover?
The Knowledge Base brings together resources across several dimensions of Cardano governance:
🏛️ Governance foundations: Cardano Constitution, CIP-1694, and the architecture of decentralized governance.
👥 Governance roles: ADA holders, delegators, DReps, SPOs, and the Constitutional Committee.
🗳️ Decision-making: On-chain Governance Actions and off-chain voting mechanisms.
🛠️ Tools and explorers: Applications, dashboards, and resources supporting governance participation, monitoring, and analysis.
🎓 Educational resources: Courses, guides, and learning initiatives developed across the ecosystem.
🔎 Governance research: Existing analytical work, including Beyond-MVG and the Cardano Governance Health KPI Report developed through Intersect's Civics Committee @IntersectCIVICS.
These areas establish a foundation for understanding Cardano's governance system through its documentation, institutions, processes, and supporting infrastructure.
🧭 Beyond documentation
Consolidating existing knowledge is only part of the broader vision.
Over time, the Knowledge Base is intended to support more exploratory and independent research into governance dimensions such as:
🔹 Accountability and oversight
🔹 Sustainability and incentives
🔹 Decentralization and distribution of power
🔹 Institutional resilience
🔹 Participation and long-term governance effectiveness
The ambition is to connect what we already know about Cardano governance with deeper investigations into what we still need to understand.
🌐 Explore and contribute
The Knowledge Base is an evolving, publicly accessible resource.
Corrections, suggestions, missing references, and feedback are welcome. Particularly valuable are contributions that improve the accuracy, completeness, and traceability of the documentation.
📖 Knowledge Base: agora-cardano.github.io/know…
