A supercomputer… on eBay.
300 racks. 9,600 Nvidia A100 GPUs.
GPUs age in 3 to 4 years.
The site, clean and stable power and the grid connection stay.
The listing is gone. Who bought it, and for how much?

In Berlin this week, Jensen Huang made a simple point: a country's data is its culture and its knowledge. Sending it abroad only to buy the intelligence back makes no sense.
It's a thesis we've held for a long time, and it plays out differently in two hydro-powered places I know well.
Bhutan sells much of its clean power to its neighbours. Turning that energy into intelligence at home would create far more value than selling the electrons.
Québec has a choice: sell its energy south and buy the intelligence back, or use it here, with local players, to build its own sovereign AI and, one day, superintelligence. For Québec, it's now or never.

The New Yorker calls the semiconductor supply chain modern civilization's answer to the Pyramids, built not by lone geniuses but by coordination at a breathtaking scale.
AI, and the road to superintelligence, is the next chapter of that same story. The chips are only useful once they're plugged in somewhere: real buildings, real power, real people running them, in real communities. That part has to be built together too, and close to home.

Anthropic just signed a 20-year lease for 95 MW in Cape Breton, with room to grow to 420 MW. The commitments matter as much as the megawatts: paying for grid upgrades, shielding existing customers from rate increases, funding community priorities, and a First Nations ownership stake under negotiation. Those are the commitments hosting AI in Canada should come with. (per The Logic)

The fastest way to get a data centre online is no longer only a new power line. It's agreeing to step back when the grid is strained: cutting use at peak, running on backup for a few hours (per The Information on Anthropic's partners). Flexibility is becoming a way to get connected sooner, and it's fairer to the households on the same grid.

Happy Thanksgiving to our fellow Canadians, and thank you to our shareholders, partners and team. 🇨🇦
Bitcoin miners didn't pivot to AI because of hype. They pivoted because a mining site already has the hardest part to find: energized land with a grid connection. Listed miners have now announced more than $70B of AI and HPC contracts (per CoinShares). Power came first; the compute followed.
Earth still wins on time-to-power for this cycle.
Orbit is interesting physics. Interconnection queues are the binding constraint today.
Model toll booths aren’t a durable business.
Power + site + balance sheet are.
Chips depreciate. Megawatts don’t.
Two options for the next decade of AI:
(1) race models into margin death, or
(2) own scarce power and time-to-power.
I’m building for (2).

C$1.5M raised this week, with insider participation. Two rounds this year. All senior secured debt settled in August.
My brother and Director @mnouz and I put our own money behind SATO’s direction in the March round.
That direction is AI infrastructure.
Our starting point: a 20 MW hydro-powered site in Québec, Canada, and experience running it. We still mine Bitcoin while advancing the planned AI conversion.
In Bhutan, a non-binding LOI for a proposed hydro-powered AI campus serving India. Definitive agreements, financing and approvals remain ahead.
Now we have to turn those plans into customers and operating capacity. That’s the work.
Thank you to everyone backing us.
Financing subject to final TSXV approval.
SATO closes previously announced private placement for gross proceeds of C$1,498,854. Proceeds to support the conversion of the Joliette, QC facility to AI/HPC and advance strategic initiatives. Subject to final TSXV approval. $SATO.V

Berkshire Hathaway entering the AI trade with interest in data centers:
CEO Greg Abel recently said the firm sees a significant opportunity in powering AI data centers. He sees access to power as the AI boom’s next bottleneck and is positioning to capitalize. Power, sites, and permission.
The companies controlling power and compute infrastructure are demand sinks. A cluster doesn’t get unplugged or turned off because a stock is down 30% in a quarter.
Long-run.
