I may owe Ray Kurzweil an apology. He predicted AGI by 2029, the singularity by 2045.

CEO Greg Abel recently said the firm sees a significant opportunity in powering AI data centers. He sees access to power as the AI boomâs next bottleneck and is positioning to capitalize. Power, sites, and permission.
The companies controlling power and compute infrastructure are demand sinks. A cluster doesnât get unplugged or turned off because a stock is down 30% in a quarter.

The mining P&L this quarter reflects a choice: we switched off machines that weren't earning their electricity rather than run them for the sake of hashrate.
And as of Monday, SATO carries no senior secured debt.
A 20 MW hydro-powered site with a clean balance sheet under it is a different asset to build on.
Q2 2026 results are out.
Subsequent to quarter-end, SATO completed a loan settlement eliminating all of the Company's senior secured indebtedness.

Crypto still gets a credit though. Bitcoin miners have signed over $70B of AI compute contracts. Microsoft, AMD and CoreWeave are all renting bitcoin mines now. The mines are becoming the datacenters that produce those tokens.

A few years ago, crypto folks were certain the world would be tokenized. I went back and checked. That included me. It's happening. Just not with crypto tokens. With AI tokens.
