what exactly are the flaws of the soviet union that shouldn't be replicated? councils? republicanism? affirmative action? nationalized agriculture? extremely high density of scientists and engineers? the best safety nets in world history?

I'm just glad I don't live in a dictatorship but a free democracy where every few years I can vote for a different banker or lawyer or landlord that represents the vast network of powerful corporate interests that controls every aspect of my life from cradle to grave

This. This is why we call it a colonial Apartheid state. A (white) US citizen can take an airplane to “vote” in Palestinian lands about the genocidal policies of the Zionist entity, while the indigenous people of Gaza and the West bank are being slaughtered and driven off their lands and have ZERO say over the military occupation they are enduring. All while these colonizers delude themselves into thinking that this is “democracy”. And they don’t even realize it.

“The foreign reactionaries who accuse us of practicing "dictatorship" or "totalitarianism" are the very persons who practice it. They practice the dictatorship or totalitarianism of one class, the bourgeoisie, over the proletariat and the rest of the people.”

I worked in the NHS for 14 years. Now doctors like me who speak about Gaza are being reported to the GMC, written up in the press, and left fighting for our careers. This is my experience, and why I won't be silenced.

I have just published a piece that is very important to me. It's about why so many "progressives" and people on "the left" are lying to us right now about crime, safety, and repression, and what we should be doing instead. equalityalec.substack.com/p/…
6-4 today. Deck about the same. Needs to find the configuration with the most possible 1-drops without compromising important pieces.

This past weekend, Magic hosted 4 major competitive events across the world (Australia, Argentina, the USA, and Magic Arena), across Standard and Modern, with over half a Million in prize money! RC South America was the biggest ever held there. People who say competitive Magic is dead are wrong. It might look different than it did in the past, but it’s alive and well. There’s always room for improvement and I’m here for it!
7-3 on the day, losing both to a misclick and a badly played game on my part. Deck has some clunky draws. Wish some of the flex slots were another land and more removal.

Is the South American RC on Melee somewhere? God knows you can't find it on the website so I'm asking here.
