It’s 2023 & we’re still discriminating against D.O.s..
To the M4 D.Os, save your money applying to away programs like these.
Your education & tireless dedication to the field matters
Go where you will be celebrated

Let me be clear about what an Osteopathic Physician (DO) is, as I am an osteopathic physician myself:
@TheView @sunny
1) 2 degrees lead to the practice of medicine in the US- DO’s and MD’s (@AmerMedicalAssn)
2) DO’s are not inferior to MD’s. We work together & train together

Our Transitional Year Residents choose a community project each year. This year they chose the Rotary Lights, which strives to increase food collections for the Coulee Region. They help with set-up & take down. They also have a tree in the Festival of Trees section at the park.

@_BSmith_ (@StanfordMed) reflects on public humiliation in preclinical education in @AcadMedJournal
This is not the way to recruit future radiologists! #raded

Hopefully radiology can get application numbers under control by following the example set by these fields. An average of 70-80 applications per applicant is not affordable nor helpful for anyone.
Replying to @jbcarmody
Program directors are seeing fewer applications in these specialties, too.
The first 7 specialties from the left use big signaling (>15). The 3 on the right give applicants fewer signals.
Look which got fewer applications this year… and which got more.
