Sissons L1 is obviously goofy looking but I think it COULD work. He’s fast enough to keep up with Auston and Willy, he does the dirty work along the walls, and he’s a natural C which means he can take over some of the defensive mindset off Auston’s plate when they’re on the ice.
Cowan - Tavares - Marchenko I’ve been a fan of whenever I see them together. Think there’s a perfect blend of speed, offensive zone play, grit along the walls and feistiness on the forecheck with this line.
McKenna - Paul as a pairing I REALLY like, but haven’t loved the lack of finishing touch on that line with Sissons. Shelter Gavin a bit, keep him and Roslovic away from too many tough matchups but I think that line can work. Roslovic isn’t amazing in terms of winning puck battles but he uses his speed well to get to puck carriers quickly on the forecheck, and Paul has been very good as the 2nd guy in on puck battles. Add in Roslo’s clear comfort and preference to be a finisher rather than facilitator, Paul’s net front oriented game, and McKenna’s crafty playmaking and vision…. I think that line can work.
4th line hasn’t been inspiring but they’ve been fine and I’ve talked before about how I think Duhaime and Wood as a tandem on the forecheck would be very fun given their speed and edge.
You know when I said yesterday that the 91 - 88 duo doesn’t work?
That 2-1 goal right there, perfect example.
Whole lot of coasting from the 2 of them.
Lots of season left to play but I’m still convinced that duo needs to be split up.

I remember a lot of skepticism when I released my 2026 NHL Draft Guide & had future #NYR Alberts Smits as my #1 ranked D over Reid/Carels
To me, it was a no-brainer. His game vs 🇺🇸 at the Olympics remains the most impressive single game performance I watched in the 25/26 season
Alberts Smits was 4th on the Rangers last night in 5v5 xGoal% at 62.1%
This kid is 18 in his 4th NHL game

To be brief, Tinus Luc Koblar is far better than his T2T card suggests. He already looks like one of the better Day 2 picks from the 2025 draft.
It is worth noting that the only players the same age or younger than TLK who were better rated were drafted/projected lottery picks.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Johan Nilsson, the founder of Elite Prospects and the person whose curiosity and passion for hockey planted the seed for everything we have built together.
Born on the 9th of April 1981, Johan founded Elite Prospects in December 1999 at just 18 years old. What started as a vision driven by a deep love of hockey grew into the world’s leading hockey platform, a testament to the kind of person he was. Johan had a rare combination of qualities: sharp intellect, deep knowledge, and a kindness that made everyone around him feel valued.
He could dive into the most complex problems with calm and clarity, and he brought that same thoughtfulness to the people he worked with every day. For the past nine years, Johan faced a battle with colon cancer with the same calm and strength that defined everything he did.
His love of hockey was never just about the game. It was about understanding it fully, honestly, and in all its detail. That drive is woven into the DNA of Elite Prospects, and it will continue to shape the future of what we do.
To know Johan was to be quietly inspired by him. We are all immensely grateful that we got to work alongside someone like him. Our deepest condolences go to his family and loved ones. He will be greatly missed, by all of us and by the global hockey community. Johan leaves behind his beloved wife and two children, aged two and eight.
