Restrictions won't stop technological spread. Giving defenders access to the best models so they can find and fix flaws first is the only way out. Locking things down was never going to work, and it's too late for that anyway.

Incredibly lucky to have Konnor on board. He was the first person after my wife whom I pitched Vectoral to. It’s crazy to see how far things have come since then. He won't brag about himself, so I will. Most recently, he was VP of Sales at Acuvity, which Proofpoint acquired for over $100M. He was the VP who took Darktrace's email security business from $0 to $100M in 18 months and managed a team of over 400 reps during their IPO run. Token Fraud and Agentic Abuse are getting worse by the day. There’s an incredibly rare opportunity to solve a real problem.  Something that I faced myself. Something that my friends are constantly battling. We can't let the attackers win.

Flex has been one of the most underrated overnight success stories of the past few years
Q3 was Flex’s strongest quarter yet as we build the global financial home for HNW business owners. A few highlights: - Revenue grew 2.5x YoY at scale - $20B+ annualized TPV - Revenue outside business cards grew 7x YoY - Accounts Payable now accounts for ~39% of revenue - Texas and Florida are our largest markets, with customers across construction, wholesale, healthcare, ecommerce brands, local government, and more - 98% gross logo retention - Global banking now represents 12% of revenue, up from just 0.4% at the start of the year, fueled by spend management, stablecoin, and multi-currency accounts - Canada is our largest market outside the US, followed by the UAE - Cross-border payments revenue grew 5.5x YoY On the consumer side, thousands of HNW individuals have joined the waitlist for Flex Elite, our new personal credit card offering up to 5% cashback on everything. We're onboarding members in phases. DM us for priority. Our ambition is simple: build the full financial home for founders, across both their businesses and personal lives. And every quarter reminds me of how underserved traditional businesses are globally. I joined Gstaad Guy's podcast to share what we've been up to. Watch below.

Restive’s first investment was Atlas Health, which has quietly scaled, helping Americans pay for health care. Lots of noise on X about rounds, but my biggest wins are the quiet ones. Congrats @EthanDavidoff and team. Proud we put (literally) all our money behind you in 2018!

Natural Direct is now live. Agents are becoming real participants in the economy. That means being able to move money as freely as people and businesses do. With Direct, your agents can now pay anyone, any way they need to be paid: ACH, Wire, and Realtime (powered by RTP and FedNow) with mailed paper checks, international wire, and more coming soon. Same @naturalpay wallets, same controls, the right rail programmatically chosen by your agent at runtime*

One of the strangest dynamics in investing is how the best financial investments are almost always the most out of favor - and easy to grasp. While the worst are usually the most exciting and hard to understand.

Apparently “slop cannon” is not a commonly used phrase outside of people in tech. Be careful!

Hot take: I don't think banks are worried at all about agents' optimizing cash balances, and that's not why they're blocking them. The median US account balance is ~$2k. The arbitrage opportunity here is tens of dollars/year. It's not even worth the compute to optimize it.

There’s a world of difference between user-authorized agents (Muse, Instinct, Grokbot, etc.) and true unauthorized/rogue agents that could constitute cyberattacks. Most of the activity described in the Axios story appears to be the former: customers sharing credentials with agents so they can take actions on their behalf. This may violate bank terms requiring humans to log in themselves, but these are in no way cyberattacks. The direction banks should go is to support user-directed agents. For example, Amex is an authorized connection in Muse, making it easy for users to grant, limit, and revoke access. Read-only permission levels are a sensible interim step. Several banks already support or are moving toward them. Full write access (with user credentials) is a different risk category and should be approached carefully. Frightening the public by blurring the line between user-authorized agentic behavior and cyberattacks is irresponsible.
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior.
