Yes Trump’s ban on news media outlets is unconstitutional, illegal, un-American, and authoritarian, and yes it will be struck down in court.

In nearly every other context, we understand that protecting people matters more than protecting institutions. Even the name — the Protect College Sports Act — tells you what Washington suddenly thinks needs protecting.
There is no college sports without college athletes. Protect the people who make the whole thing possible.
#Illini AD Josh Whitman -- and 12 other in-state ADs -- support the Protect College Sports Act and are lobbying for Senators Tammy Duckworth and Dick Durbin to support the bill, per a letter.
The bill would limit the transfer portal, reign in roster spending over $50 million cap, cap conferences at 19 teams, and prevent cuts to non-revenue sports.
The bill has a lot of Senate support, and the support of President Trump. But it'll need to pass the House of Representatives in November, after the mid-term elections.
Labor groups and the NAACP oppose the bill it can limit player compensation.
