LADY LIBERTY is the mother, not the daughter of problem-solving creativity and prosperity

– at Island Walk, FL
– at Island Walk, FL

Brazil had a choice between a socialist and a Zionist. Some choice.
I’m no fan of either. But Lula has had THREE full terms, and his party even more, and he ran Brazil into the ground. Taxes up, again and again. And where did the money go? To people who refuse to work, to the woke agenda, and straight into their own pockets.
While other developing countries grew their economies, Brazil stagnated, and our freedoms got cut away piece by piece.
So yes, I oppose Bolsonaro cucking for Israel. But I’ll take that over a woke, socialist Brazil that silences free speech, turns Supreme Court justice Alexandre de Moraes into a de facto dictator, and squeezes its people with some of the highest consumption taxes on the planet.
The left doesn’t want to govern Brazil. It wants to control it.
Wake up, Brazil, before it’s too late. 🇧🇷

A husband and wife with four kids will spend $3-4,000 and more per month on medical insurance now, and it buys nothing but the right to pay more when you actually use it. This is an outrage. More outrageous, there is hardly any political talk about this fixing this problem even though the fix is readily at hand. Unsustainable.

| Flavio Amoedo

Superb article by @FeserEdward on the "scientific" delusion-- "the mechanization of the world picture"-- that still hobbles our understanding of the distinct and separate nature of things in the world. We refuse to accept both that separateness and the idea of an inherent nature in anything.
The "basic conceit is human beings, in theory and practice, can and ought to transcend the limitations of their nature."
This is how you get transhumanism. This is how you get murderous governments. This is how you get an addled & miserable population in the midst of incredible material comfort.

Some loose thoughts on the current macro setup and what it means for #gold 🧵
Gold is under real pressure. Silver and the miners are underperforming and show no signs of strength yet.
My take: we’ll see a capitulation low over the next few days.

An Israeli company just put “3D-printed steak” on shelves in the Northeast.
It’s called Perfecta.
It is not meat.
It is not cultivated meat.
It is soy and wheat protein paste, oils, and binders, run through a machine that layers two different pastes to fake muscle and marbling.
They call the process Fused Paste Layering.
The printer builds the shape. The ingredients are still ultra-processed plant material.
Real steak comes from a cow.
This comes from a nozzle.
Same marketing. Different source.
