Dolores Huerta was a pioneering labor leader and legendary civil rights activist. Amidst the struggle of the movement, her rallying cry, "SΓ se puede," was a call to stay in the fight. The work of Dolores Huerta and the United Farm Workers was a driving force for change across California and our country. Her brilliant organizing and fierce negotiating came to the national spotlight during the Delano Grape strike, and countless people benefited from her decades-long career. Thanks to her, immigrants and workers won better wages, working conditions, environmental protections, and voting rights. I was blessed to know Dolores for many years and proud to organize alongside my dear friend to champion working families and immigrant rights. I will always be grateful for her support and friendship. We will honor her legacy by continuing the fight for the dignity of every person. Doug and I send our love and prayers to the four generations of loving family she leaves behind, the community she built, and to the millions of people who have been touched by her work.

β€œThis is the moment where the power of the people reigns,” said former Vice President Kamala Harris. β€œWhere the power of the people leads.” Harris rallied hundreds of Culinary Workers Union Local 226 members in Las Vegas, urging them to keep pushing for Democratic candidates with less than two weeks left before the Nov. 3 election. Harris appeared alongside Democratic Attorney General Aaron Ford and Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev., as part of a final campaign blitz. In 10 minutes on stage, she endorsed Ford in the race for governor, criticized President Donald Trump’s administration and called on union members to turn frustration into action. House Speaker Mike Johnson campaigned Tuesday for congressional candidates Carrie Buck and Marty O’Donnell, and Education Secretary Linda McMahon was also in town today.

The cost of everything from groceries and gas to housing and childcare is going up because of choices made by Donald Trump's administration. Those choices have consequences. So do elections. The midterms are our chance to elect leaders who will fight for the people. Over the next week, I will hit the trail in Nevada, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, and Georgia to campaign for some of those incredible leaders. I'll see you out there.

Californians' lives are not expendable in Donald Trump's unhinged, reckless war in Iran. This is yet another callous comment from the tyrant in the White House who dragged the American people into a war that we do not want.

Absolutely. I went deep dive on this. There are lots of angles out there, you can stopwatch the play and all sorts of things. There are explanations on why the NBC broadcast slowly diverts from the pregame "sync." I went into it believing Western Michigan got screwed but after reviewing it all and talking to experts, there was time left. There just was. Michigan deserved the extra play. The replay protocols were not followed - which is what the MAC protested and the NCAA is saying - but in real life, in the actual stadium, under the actual clock, Michigan won. Believe whatever you want, doesn't matter to me. In the end this is a game that is always imprecise - spotting the ball, the clock, etc - so expecting it to be precise at the end might be too much. But the facts are the facts here.
Replying to @DanWetzel
You’re so full of shit… this is the credible evidence you’re staking your reporting on? A video from over 100 yards away? And even clearly at that, the DB hasn’t touched the ball yet? Get some real sources/feeds instead of twitter blowhards.
