Sonja Shaw is running for State Superintendent. She is a total outsider to the corrupt political establishment in Sacramento. She has taken on and prevailed against the full force of the state of California when she dared to pass a school district policy that would stop schools from keeping secrets from parents. She ran such a successful grassroots campaign that she won the primary! She will hard for all students, but especially our young girls subject to boys in their locker rooms and sports. All of this has led to a great hatred and demonization of Shaw. Just yesterday, an elderly couple contacted me about a sign stolen off right off their lawn. They have deep roots in their small California town. It’s the kind of place where neighbors bring each other cookies, stop to chat on their morning walks, and check in on each other. The lawn sign being stolen was the first crime they’ve experienced in decades. Someone was angry enough about @realSonjaShaw running for State Superintendent that they stole a lawn sign! If you haven’t yet voted, we only have a few days left. Please, please, 🙏, VOTE to save California!! This is bigger than who is left and who is right. We need elected officials that can speak truth to power and are gonna fight like hell for our children. Vote for a future that isn’t owned by the people who broke the present. 💛🤍💜 (The elderly couple didn’t have time to get a new sign before the election so they made their own.)

Scott Wiener is celebrating Women’s Empowerment Week with Wine Wednesday. This man was instrumental in CA’s current policy of allowing fully intact male sex offenders to be housed in locked cells with women. He is the last person that should be allowed to talk about women empowerment.

Six women showed up at the Chase Center in SF for Game 5 of the Valkyries playoffs to stand up for women and girls. We handed out flyers, had some great conversations, got some thumbs-ups & clandestine claps, and (of course) encountered the opposition. Don’t miss the guy in purple wig eating a burrito who wants to know why we aren’t fighting for better childcare, the TRA next to us who explains clearly that men are allowed in battered women’s shelters like it’s a good thing, the mother who can’t help profusely swearing in front of her kids, and on and on. What haunted me most last night was the parent of a “trans kid” who hates seeing us at the games. I hope we did spoil his game. I hope he had the tiniest thought in his head that maybe, just maybe, his kid isn’t born in the wrong body and that his kid doesn’t need drugs and surgery to fix his body.)

So wild that they forced a girl to be this boy’s “body double” by switching jerseys. Why is it ok for the girl to be in danger but not the boy?
