Whilst the line was closed for signallingwork, we also renewed 183 metres of track renewed at Fishbourne, between Chichester and Nutbourne.
Track renewal works improve reliability of services for customers as they reduce the risk of track faults arising.
We were carrying out the next stage of our £250 million signalling upgrade on the line. Once commissioned in Easter 2028, the new signalling will make journeys more reliable for passengers.
During this closure, we installed 61 axle counters, 23 Automatic Warning System components and nine Train Protection and Warning System components at Havant.
