Patrick Stewart’s voice acting legacy deserves to be remembered too 🥺❤️ Sir Patrick Stewart has passed away at 86, and while generations will forever know him as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek and Professor Charles Xavier in X-Men, his unmistakable voice also became part of an incredible number of animated films, television shows, and video games. His most memorable voice and gaming roles included: • Avery Bullock — American Dad! • Jean-Luc Picard — Star Trek: Armada • Professor Charles Xavier / Professor X — X-Men Legends • Lord Yupa — Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind — English Dub • Emperor Uriel Septim VII — The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion • King Goobot V — Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius • William Shakespeare — Gnomeo & Juliet • Sandy Claws — The Nightmare Before Christmas • The Great Prince of the Forest — Bambi II • Poop — The Emoji Movie • Pharaoh Seti I — The Prince of Egypt • Number One — The Simpsons • Zobek / Death — Castlevania: Lords of Shadow • Mr. Woolensworth — Chicken Little • Ariscratle — Ice Age: Continental Drift • Adventure — The Pagemaster and many more! For animation fans especially, Stewart’s commanding voice could be heard everywhere from Disney and DreamWorks to The Simpsons and American Dad!, while gamers heard that same unmistakable presence across Star Trek, X-Men, The Elder Scrolls and Castlevania. Few actors possessed a voice that could immediately make a character sound powerful, wise, intimidating, or hilariously absurd. Patrick Stewart brought all of those qualities to the microphone. Rest in peace, Sir Patrick Stewart. From the Enterprise and Xavier’s School to animation and gaming, his voice became part of countless worlds and generations of memories. 🕊️
