Cells make toxic metabolites every minute they’re alive. How do they survive them? In our @ScienceAdvances paper, we report that NRF2 coordinates the defences against genotoxic formaldehyde and ferroptosis resistance by regulating SLC7A11 (xCT)👇 science.org/doi/10.1126/scia…

New paper out in @ScienceAdvances! News organizations shape public understanding through the choices they make about what to cover and how to cover it. How can we measure these differences across publishers systematically and at scale? We present the Media Bias Detector!

Extremely proud of our new paper on Heart Failure biomarker discovery! We identified C1QTNF1 protein as a biologic marker of social vulnerability and found a potentially causal association with heart failure. Our findings provide novel insights into the mechanistic link between social determinants of health and heart failure in a racially diverse population. This is the result of 3 years of work and the culmination of my master’s dissertation @harvardmed @utswheart @ScienceMagazine science.org/doi/10.1126/scia…
