Gemini Carbon is here but only limited release.
I did say we'd be releasing our models periodically...introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, our next frontier model. Following Argon's release just two weeks ago, Carbon shows the pace at which we’re pushing the frontier, it ranks #1 on the recently updated v5.0 of @ArtificialAnlys Intelligence Index at 59. It also leads across key cybersecurity evaluations scoring 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching. We’re seeing significant improvements in long-horizon tasks even compared to Argon, and we’ve strengthened frontier safeguards. As we did with Argon, we’re going to roll it out gradually + responsibly. Some trusted cyber defenders will get access starting this week. We'll be expanding it to more partners through our Fairwind Program, ahead of wider availability soon, so hang tight!

Google’s own indexing and ranking timelines. 👐🏼
Google just revealed how long SEO actually takes. They've given typical timelines for 23 crawling, indexing and serving processes, so I've put them all into this simple graphic. A few worth highlighting: - Discovering a new page: ~20 hours - Recrawling an existing page: ~30 days - Processing link signals: Minutes to 3 weeks - Updating a title in search: 1-2 days - Processing a site migration: 1-3 months - Recovering from a core update: 3-6 months For context, these timelines aren't how long it takes from making a change to seeing a result. Google needs to discover, crawl, index and serve your content, and those processes stack up. For example: Google might index your changes in just 1.5 hours. But if it doesn't crawl your page for another 30 days, those changes could stay unseen for a month. Some practical takeaways: 1. If you've updated a page and nothing's changed, check the last crawl date in Search Console before assuming your changes didn't work. 2. If new pages aren't getting indexed, look at your internal links, sitemap, crawlability and content quality. 3. If you're migrating a website, don't expect everything to be sorted overnight. Monitor redirects, canonicals and indexing throughout the process. 4. If you've been hit by a core update, don't expect a few quick fixes to bring your traffic back next week. And remember, these are Google's estimates, not guarantees. Some processes can take much longer or never happen at all. I've included all 23 processes in the graphic below. Save it for the next time you're wondering why your SEO changes aren't showing up.

🔥 Anger does not arrive suddenly. The Gita traces the chain: dwelling → wanting → anger → loss of clarity. Watch the chain. Break it early. 🧘 Where do you usually catch it?

It has become impossible to run Google ads for less than $1000 monthly budget. This much budget just goes to protect your brand search traffic only. 🥅

🔍 Most SEO audits start backwards. They open with title tags and blog ideas. I open with one question: can Google find it, keep it, and render it? 🤔

Clearly we are heading to zero click search experience.
One of the biggest SEO teams on the planet. Wiped out anyway. HubSpot built the blog every marketer chased. Then organic traffic dropped roughly 80% in a year, according to Ahrefs and SEMrush. Their CEO explained it on the earnings call: AI Overviews are giving the answers, and the clicks are drying up. Nobody got lazy. Search itself changed. Our NP Digital numbers show the exact same shift. #SEO #AISearch #DigitalMarketing #SearchEngine #NeilPatel

Most accurate representation of Google search right now. 🥅

Schema wasn’t a direct ranking factor, but it had clear indirect benefits. Rich results from schema often boosted CTR and traffic significantly, and Google has used behavioral signals in ranking for years. Still relevant for visibility in AI Overviews and agentic search.

The industry definitely overhyped it as a ranking silver bullet. But for many sites I’ve worked with, implementing schema was one of the highest-ROI changes for traffic.

With AI Overviews and agent platforms, schema (and better structured data in general) is actually becoming more important, not less. It’s how machines understand content reliably.
