So she want 16 and 17 year olds to support and volunteer for her campaign, but she doesn't support expanding the vote.
If you're okay with them representing you, you should be ok with them voting for you.
Thank you, Saptarshy! Seeing young people who aren’t old enough to vote yet volunteering their time is a powerful reminder that the future of LA is worth showing up for.
Nov. 3 is the last day to vote, not the first! You can cast your ballot now at an early vote center or return your ballot to a secure drop box. Make your plan to vote at LAvote.gov

New: Proton CEO Andy Yen just cancelled the company's 're-interviews'. Comes after our investigation
The re-interviews would have been about how workers were using AI, with the clear implication you might be fired

Today's Claude extension compromise is a good reminder to do this. If you're using VSCode @code, Cursor @cursor_ai, or any other IDE built on VSCode, I would immediately enable extensions.installCooldownHours.
I've set this setting to 72 (hours), which is a much safer delay to install new updates to extensions than the default setting of 0 (immediate updates).
This prevents extension updates from getting installed for 3 days, which would hopefully eliminate most of the risk from compromised updates. It's not foolproof, but it's better than no delay.
Heck, set it to something even higher to be safer, like 336 (2 weeks).

Thrive Los Angeles PAC paid a clipping firm to push out a dozen different anti Nithya Raman videos on social media.
Despite CA laws requiring disclosure on posts, very few appear to have them. And one of the only accounts to do so is based in Thailand!

We’ve been advocating for this for years, and now that Raman is running, Bass is suddenly working.
These permits should have never become more restrictive in the first place.
We need a mayor who doesn’t just work when she’s trying to win votes in the 11th hour of a campaign.
NEW: Mayor Bass announces an executive directive to help restaurants by easing permitting and outdoor dining. It's Bass' 24th exec directive since taking office, 1/3 of which were issued after Nithya Raman announced her race to be mayor.

Just wrote an article detailing 10 reasons why LAPD Chief McDonnell needs to be fired. I don’t know how you can read it and then make the case he should remain.
Why is Karen Bass continuing to defend him?

We mourn the passing of Patrick Stewart, who inspired countless individuals at NASA (and beyond) to boldly go where no one has gone before.
Come on man, no need to make millennials feel old.
Anybody born after Oct. 30, 2000, has never known a day without a human presence in space.
Since the beginning of the first expedition 26 years ago on Nov 2, the International Space Station has been inhabited continuously.

AO3 is doing what every security engineer dreams of being able to do after a breach. finding evidence of a breach and getting to say “we are taking everything offline for 2-4 WEEKS to ensure it’s completely clean and do a full investigation” is unheard of with for-profit companies.

Mayor Bass just issued her 25th & 26th Executive Directive.
Now up to 38% of her Executive Directives have been issued since Nithya Raman decided to run for a Mayor. 🤯
We need a Mayor for ALL 4 YEARS, not just when you're about to lose your job.
Don't get fooled, Los Angeles!

On Tuesday, Nithya aired this TV ad on LA's inability to fix 30,000 broken streetlights under Mayor Bass.
On Wednesday, Bass used *taxpayer funds* and a Political Data account to blast text messages to residents defending her record.

You can check if the malicious version (2.1.313) was installed by checking under ~/.vscode/extensions
Regardless, I would recommend disabling WiFi on your computer overnight, because if the marketplace is compromised it might not just be this one.
