In 30+ years in politics and media, I've never seen a primary candidate who vastly outspent their opponent and lost then use the final days of the general election trying to still make the election about themselves and to sabotage their party. A truly epic commitment to the bit.

Shawn Fain is right. It is an outrage that GM is spending $20 billion on stock buybacks to enrich its wealthy shareholders, while 80% of its autoworkers no longer have a pension or retiree health benefits.
That $20 billion should be going to workers, not Wall Street executives.

The Human Personification Of Political Corruption says he wants to stop the culture of corruption that he created, assuming literally not one single person in media will ask him about how he helped create that culture of corruption.
Washington needs a good power washing top to bottom. Five things I would do today to end corruption in Washington across all three branches of government:
1. Ban all stock trading.
2. Ban all participation in prediction markets.
3. Mandatory retirement at 75 years old.
4. Mandatory blind trust for individuals with a net worth more than $1 million.
5. Ban all foreign gifts to public officials, including foreign investments in their businesses or other entities.

It's great to see economist @JustinWolfers making the case that AI has given new urgency to the case for universal basic income, calling it "a payment society is owed rather than a form of redistribution."
He says the tech companies created a few lines of code while it was the rest of society that created all the world’s knowledge those AI models were trained on, and that we never charged them for it.

Back in 2003, a German film crew filming in the Gobi Desert captured an incredibly moving moment: after a tough two-day birth, a mother camel rejected her newborn. A nomadic family then performed the ancient Hoos singing ritual passed down for generations. Once the song ended, the camel shed tears and finally accepted her baby.
