Restricting Ukraine's access to Starshield hands Russia an advantage. I'm working with Republicans and Democrats to demand the Administration fix this and keep it from happening again. Decisions this consequential shouldn't be left to the whims of a private company.

The American people have watched President Trump enrich himself and his cronies. Members of both parties should be calling out this Administration's corruption - like @SenatorSlotkin is doing. She is simply saying that no one is above the law, and no one should be.
Just a few hours ago, President Trump said in the Oval Office that I should be tried in court because I dared to talk about the corruption coming out of the White House.
If I've learned one thing from this past year, it's that you have to push back. I'm not going to be intimidated out of standing up for the rule of law and the country that has given me everything.

.@SenatorSlotkin is a patriot, who has sworn an oath to serve multiple times. She called out blatant corruption and she was right to do so.
It's unacceptable to use the justice system to threaten your political opponents. These continued attacks against her are dangerous, and they are offensive to the ideals we all hold as Americans. It needs to stop.

Extraordinary account from Bloomberg of what it now takes to move oil through Hormuz.
One tanker captain describes sailing at night with no navigational lights, phones or AIS, hugging the Omani coast under U.S. military protection, and maneuvering around a vessel that had just been attacked. His own ship was later targeted.
The risks are so high that crews are being paid multiples of their normal salaries, with one shipowner reportedly offering six months of extra pay for Hormuz shuttle duty.
More oil may be getting through, but at very high risk and cost.

Sen. @ElissaSlotkin: The authoritarian playbook is very clear. When you're at risk of losing, you either A, make up a threat that only you can protect people from, or B, find a way for federal law enforcement or the military to seize ballots or voting machines. In Hungary, Orbán used Plan A. In the run up to election day, we need to be alert and ready. If you hear in the next 34 days that there is a new security threat that you've never heard of, that somehow requires federal law enforcement or the military and not local police, an alarm bell should go off in your brain. Do not let him get away with that.
Sen. Elissa Slotkin joined Anne Applebaum, a Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace to discuss the “global democratic recession” and how to protect institutions from authoritarian ideals.
