10 numbers submitted to @CBCMusic #CBCMusicClass challenge. So proud of the hard work our students put in. Can’t wait for the videos to be uploaded to the CBC YouTube channel. Also we’ll be live on December 6th at 9:30am for our showcase. Watch School Day for announcements!

Shout-out to the grade 8 crew that totally organized my instruments today. They are like an un-official music council - always willing to help out. This small acts to a long way! I also love hearing them giggle and joke around while we get stuff done.

Oak Creek remembered on Friday. Thank you to all classes that prepared for our virtual assembly and to our student MC’s. Our assembly focussed on honouring diverse soldier stories and reflections on peace including Yusuf/Cat Steven’s song, Peace Train. @oakwrdsb

Grade 3 students are getting so excited for their @CBCMusic Class challenge song. We’ve spent some lunch breaks painting a beautiful sunset backdrop and the kids sing the whole time. 🌅 🎶 @oakwrdsb

Lots of talk of the sun today with our ACE kids. They will be helping perform “Good Morning” for the CBC Music Challenge. We picked our instruments today and did lots of singing as we walked in the sun. 🌞 🌞 🌞 @MsWillettR

The music room has been a busy place lately with preparations for the #CBCMusicClass challenge. Here’s a sneak peek at some students practising. We will have 10 different entrances from our school this year as each grade is participating! @oakwrdsb #OCProud

Students are enjoying “masked singer” with the new partition at Coffee House Club. Yesterday’s moment of adorableness was this student hyping up her friend who was performing. #support #OCProud

For our ACE friend Keegan, who has hearing loss, music is a WHOLE body experience! Much of music can still be enjoyed and felt through the human body and there’s no doubt this kiddo sure loves it! @MsWillettR @THE_KINGSLEYS
