UNDER MY DIRECT OVERSIGHT: President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says the US$2.5 billion (approximately N$41.14 billion) Dangote Namibia Tank Farm, and Regional Pipeline Project will remain under her direct oversight until completion.
Speaking at the official launch in Walvis Bay today, Nandi-Ndaitwah said she had placed the project under the Office of the President to fast-track implementation and prevent bureaucratic delays.
βPlease know that this project will remain a presidential project until it is completed,β she said.
The project is aimed at strengthening Namibiaβs fuel storage capacity and securing petroleum supplies for Namibia and landlocked neighbouring countries, including parts of the DRC and potentially South Africa.
