Keeneland fails to put in any new guardrails for CAWs and sees handle plummet. A coincidence?
Hopefully, other tracks are paying attention.
About $16.65-million more was bet on @thenyra races this year @BelmontPark1905 this year than (B)Aqueduct last year, but total handle still slipped $9.9-million. There is just no new money coming in to the pools.

T O Elvis was dazzling, and anyone who watched his last race can’t be surprised he just did that.
But hopefully this race serves as a needed inflection point around the lack of regulation of CAW wagering, because that was as egregious as you’ll see.
Strongly recommend this new book. Solid ideas throughout but think the money management and horseplayer psychology chapters will really help many players.

For those that understand that value of replay watching but don't have the time, I've just posted well over 100 trip notes for the opening day card @santaanitapark, and the cost is FREE!

But we have all been told the tote security is great and past posting is impossible even though the actual tote shutoff is a manual process :-)
The head of the TRPB who wouldn’t answer simple questions about the tote system has been in his position for twenty years. In 2007 he was unaware of a major past posting incident NINE DAYS after it occurred. Little changes yet we’re told tote is secure. Players finally waking up?

Last night the University of Kentucky football team invited some of our residents to watch practice and tour the facility. We are appreciative to the coaches for their hospitality and giving us a behind the scenes look!

If I see the same odds drops at Churchill, I will end producing products and betting that meet quickly. I refuse to tell people to bet on horses where I cannot properly assess a horses price and then watch the odds go down as the race is being run. It's suspected thievery.

I think it would be beneficial to all for @KeenelandJim to explain how Keeneland has "addressed that (CAW) issue in other ways." Because I don't think it's working.

Three tracks can handle working a new plan with CAWs - they have government revenue and sales revenue. Keeneland, KD and CD.
The problem with that is KEE and CD were 16%|19% juice and they raised it. KD raised takeout.
They increased margins for, and *helped* the CAWs win more

You won’t find a much more convincing argument for a CAW cut-off than this. Of course, this is the result of one group getting the opportunity to bet last.
And it will keep getting worse if tracks don’t come up some reasonable and comprehensive guardrails for CAWs.
Breeders Cup. John Gaines Championship Day creation to highlight what racing has to offer established and hopefully new fans. We have lost our way.

44-1 over 53-1 pays $286 for a buck. This is the type of hit that should keep you afloat for several weeks, months, whatever. But instead, this might not get you out for the day, depending on how aggressive you are. What is going on?
Keeneland race 2
I’ve been watching Keeneland racing for over 50 years and exacta and trifecta prices in race 2 are the most questionable I’ve ever seen. Both seem impossibly low by my math and experience. @keenelandracing @KeenelandJim @Shanbisharv
