Soweto Derby has become a massive marketing gimmick with zero football bearing. When was the last time did these two actually played for 3 points where BOTH were fighting for the league title? The commercial side sells out 90k seats, but on the pitch, it hasn’t been a title decider in a decade. Asibonge for township economy boost as well.. From what I’m seeing, Downs supporters disregard the MTN8 and it doesn’t complete the domestic treble according to them. But then if you go to Spain, there’s no League Cup but Barça recently celebrated the domestic treble which consists of the League, Copa del Rey & Spanish Copa
