@ErikBeaston predicts Tarik Skubal will join the Mets in Free Agency:
“The Mets, though, are a young team with pieces in Carson Benge, AJ Ewing, and Nolan McLean that have them set up nicely for the future.
Add in future HOFers Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor and you have a team that, with the right coaching, is a World Series contender. Even more so with Skubal in the rotation.”

Sources: Mets have identified former Twins President of Baseball Operations Derek Falvey as someone of interest as they look to expand their front office. Falvey was once co-director of baseball operations for the Cleveland Indians alongside none other than David Stearns.

Will still stand on this trade being a win for the Mets.
Luisangel Acuna didn't have a spot on the roster. Luis Robert is a former All-Star, bought low for a chance to find his rhythm on a new team.
It didn't work out, but the Mets walk away with the Orioles paying his salary.

"Certainly Jefry will learn not to jump before the play is over. That's something he's still working through. I think the emotions of the moment got him there."
