Hi new friends, so glad you’re here. This space is part resistance, part refuge. I retweet what needs protecting or amplified, speak what needs saying, & weave in reminders that our humanity is still worth fighting for. Expect an eclectic mix of courage, care, and everyday magic

Canada just lit up Niagara Falls Blue showing their solidarity with Democrats and it feels so good to know that they stand with us.

FINAL (mostly) RESULTS FROM NORTH CAROLINA
Hard to know where to begin. This was a generational election. Absolutely insane. The voter surge pushed the Republican gerrymander of North Carolina into dummymander territory, wreaking absolute havoc on the GOP's numbers.
US SENATE: @RoyCooperNC by a mile.
CONGRESS: Democrats flip 6 (!!) Congressional seats: NC-5, 6, 9, 11, 13, 14. NC delegation becomes 10D-4R.
NC LEGISLATURE: Democrats flip 19 (!!) House seats, plus 1 Independent. 4 in the Senate.
If the 1 Independent caucuses with @NCHouseDems, they will be at 71 seats in the NC House - just 1 shy of a supermajority.
The NC Senate is now 26R-24D. Republicans are just 1 seat away from a full Democratic trifecta of North Carolina's state government.
NC JUDICIAL: @Anita_Earls and all 3 Democratic Court of Appeals candidates crushed their races by wide margins.
LOCAL: Democrats made large gains in local races all over the state. Totals are still being tabulated in some places, but Democrats flipped:
- both the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners and School board
- the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners, and the District Attorney's office - perennial Republican statewide candidate Jim O'Neil has finally been turned out of office
- The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners, where no Democrat has held any seat in 36 years - will now have a Democratic majority
We will have a fuller accounting later. For now, it's bedtime. God bless the great state of North Carolina.

Trump is live on Fox News right now claiming Democrats are falling over themselves to call him and talk about all the great things we’re going to do together. What a delusional clown.

I feel like I’ve been holding my breath for two years, wondering if the America I believed in was a mirage.
IT WAS NOT!!! It was not.

Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.
These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy.
While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

MIKE JOHNSON JUST CONCEDED HE LOST THE HOUSE. We made this shit so massive that no sane person could possibly deny it. 2008 was my first election. This may be a mid-term, but tonight feels that damn good. I never thought I'd get to feel like this again.
