Update: Crews located a fire in the garage of the home. The fire is under control, and crews are working on overhaul. No injuries have been reported. Thank you to Castle Rock Fire for your assistance on scene.
SMFR and @dcsheriff are on scene of a commercial vehicle fire at Hilltop Road and Merryvale Trail. The fire is out, and crews are working on containing a small fuel spill. No injuries have been reported.

Update: A Cessna 180 went off the side of Runway 17R upon landing. There was a single occupant on board who safely exited the aircraft prior to our arrival. No injuries were reported. Personnel from the SMFR Hazmat Team are working on offloading the remaining fuel from the plane.

At approximately 3:50 p.m., we were advised that a Cessna 180 with one person on board went off the surface of Runway 17R upon landing. The pilot reported no injuries. South Metro Fire Rescue is on scene.

TRAFFIC ALERT by CDOT: Northbound I-25 closures now slated for tonight and Thursday night for pedestrian bridge installation.
Today, starting at 3 pm, the northbound I-25 to Lincoln Avenue off-ramp will close.
The SMFR Technical Rescue Team is responding to a vehicle that drove into a building at 6654 S. Webster St. Updates to follow as more information is confirmed.
Update: A vehicle crashed through the back wall of a garage, striking a gas meter. @XcelEnergyCO is on scene working to cap the damaged gas line to the residence.
No injuries were reported to the driver or anyone inside the home.
This will be an extended operation for the SMFR Technical Rescue Team, which will work to shore up and stabilize the damaged walls once the vehicle is removed.

The SMFR Technical Rescue Team is on scene of a vehicle that drove into an office building at 9094 E. Mineral Ave. One person has been transported to the hospital, and crews are evaluating the structure for damage.
Update: The vehicle has been removed from the building. The SMFR Technical Rescue Team determined that there was structural damage to the building and is working on stabilizing the area. Thank you to @arapahoeSO for your assistance on scene.

Update: The fire is out and under control. Crews are developing a ventilation plan to remove smoke from the structure. All occupants safely evacuated, and no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Follow @dcsdk12 for further information.
Update: Investigators with the SMFR Fire Marshal’s Office have determined the cause of the fire to be an electrical malfunction involving a light fixture in an unoccupied classroom.

Update: One person has been transported non-emergent for further evaluation. Investigators have determined the cause of the fire to be lithium-ion batteries, which have been removed and overpacked for safe handling. Bunker gear worn by 14 SMFR personnel was contaminated during the incident and will undergo thorough cleaning.
