Love this as it brings back a flood of exciting memories and visuals for me. Definitely miss the short time I spent in the Moon’s sphere of influence! Huge props to our amazing science team for getting more data out to the masses!
A huge library of Artemis II data just dropped! Science is a relay race, and today marks the latest in a long series of handoffs. 814 GB of observations. 996 new images. 521 min of never-before-released crew audio. Dig in: go.nasa.gov/Artemis2LunarSci…

A railgun mass driver on the Moon, explained by @AnthroFuturism : youtu.be/QdVMfmf5AbM The landing pad doubling as launch armature is a lot of dead weight to accelerate, but that's fine if the 'wasted' energy is recovered by regenerative braking at the end of the track.

What if the journey to Proxima Centauri wasn’t a single, centuries-long gamble… but a maintained corridor? A chain of fifty permanent stations spaced a few light-weeks apart. Short-haul ferries hop between neighboring nodes in about five years at 0.017c. Crews rotate. Cargo hands off. Failures stay local. Segment the trip. Reuse the infrastructure. Grow the network stage by stage instead of betting everything on one generational ship. A permanent Moon Base requires autonomous heavy machinery to build it. Lunar Outpost's robotic workforce does the legwork before Astronauts arrive: • Building and maintaining infrastructure, including habitats, communications, and power systems • Preparing the lunar surface for transportation and launch infrastructure • Moving regolith for habitat shielding and construction • Towing and positioning large-scale equipment • Prospecting for and collecting critical resources #TheNextLeap #LunarOutpost #DrivingArtemis #SpaceTech #Innovation

As we head towards an uncertain future where most of what we assumed about the world can no longer be taken for granted, human relationships matter more than ever. Cherish the people close to you; be good to them. That will matter as long as we exist.

Take a bunch of uninhabitable planets and asteroids around a small star, demolish them, use materials to build a massive habitable ring around that star. This is a bit sci-fi, but not impossible.
A ringworld is a colossal planet-like ring that completely encircles a star. This hypothetical structure orbits in the habitable zone of its star, creates its own gravity by rotating rapidly, and provides a vast living area for potential inhabitants. Awesome. 📽️ Simon Terrey
