We are so thankful, moved and proud of Fin’s fellow cyclists today for making a stand at the Tour of Lombardy. Things need to change and no other family should ever receive the phone call we received on 14th Aug. We sincerely hope the UCI are listening and changes will be made.

NEW SUBSTACK: What’s next for local government reorganisation? Is it over? Back to the drawing board? A period of ‘controlled retrenchment’? Or organised chaos? Those are the four scenarios I look at — and what they mean for English devolution. Link below.

Lots of pictures and videos incoming on a very significant day for the @UniofStaffs - the opening of our new £100m Student Village and Hub. I just want to give a shout out to this bloke. I’m sure all Unis think their Chancellor is the best. I know ours is. He’s one of our own. 🤝

I had the great pleasure of interviewing @bal_deol and then meeting with her throughout the early years of her studies @UniofStaffs and it was obvious then that she was a determined, committed and talented student. It was lovely to meet her again recently as she neared the completion of her PhD and to be able to commend her on an inspirational learning journey. Here’s to the next enticing chapter Dr Bal. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c75g…
