-7Β°C, day 8 of winter. Snow on every roof, the fields under it, and the Fog still coming in from the right. π²
Season skipped ahead for the shot. The snow itself is the real system being shown here.

That crystal is rising because a colonist was given a real channel order at the town-square Spring. β¨
Only the clock (10:30) and the camera are staged.

Digging a Mana Spring far enough opens a dungeon under it. That's been in the game a while with no reason behind it. π―οΈ
so I wrote one. springs sink, and what's under an old one is worth more than the water on top.

German and Russian are in, behind a new language picker. π About 21,000 rows of text had to leave the interface first.
Both are machine translated, not yet checked by native speakers. Read either? Shout.

Another #Battle video. Hope you like it!
Been tuning the UI a bit. I think the AI needs some work still however.

I am working on internationalization at the moment I wish I did this earlier. There are so many different strings and takes fields and other hard coded systems that I neglected when starting this project. This is a system I wish I started earlier along in the development. We will get there however.
Night time is a vibe.
Make sure you're set up for the night so your colonists are ready for the next day. πΏπ

Yes Springfall does have weather events!
Lightning is the spookiest of them and some colonists really don't like it.π±π©οΈ
Weather has a real impact on your colony, some good, some bad so its important to plan accordingly!

Stronghold was such an amazing game when I first played it as a kid.
There was nothing more satisfying than ending the Rat... if you know you know....
Give them some love for creating wonderful games.
We told you it was coming soon - the Stronghold 4 demo now has a Skirmish mode for you to enjoy. Build, Battle and Besiege against The Snake, Sir Longarm and Penryn in 1vs1 and deathmatch fights now!
Wishlist and Play the Demo on Steam now: store.steampowered.com/app/2β¦
Wowzaaa. Just came out of my first major bug bash session for Springfall. 96 bugs squashed πͺπ
I'm kinda fried after that and had been dreading it for some time but feeling nice and clean now that's done... for now ;)

Chiming on on #WoW Forver racial balance changes as a GOOD thing.
The recent changes to WoW Forever racials are actually a massive win for the game, and the doom-posters crying about it are missing the point.
The data proves that the old system didn't preserve "faction identity"βit just forced everyone into the same two choices. Barely anyone actually played Dwarves or Gnomes on Alliance because the min-max meta demanded Humans for weapon skills. On Horde, it was a sea of Undead and Orcs.
Balancing these racials is a great move because it discourages min-maxing and will hopefully bring more visual variety to the world. The reality is that when you level the playing field, people actually choose their race based on what they look like rather than a passive combat stat.
Let people play what they want without being penalized for it!
Characters can get injured. They can get diseases. They can be cursed.
Here you can see the impacts of these different ailments on their bodies. And what you can do to get rid of them. πΏπ

Sometimes you get carried away and over-engineer things.
I spent far too long on this main menu but damn it just hits right. πΏπ

Stockpile zones are important feature of managing resources early on and allowing a centralized point to manage your in-game items.
See your resources and items stacked neatly review the stockpile contents and set priorities and types you can expand and shrink the zones to suit your needs. πΏπ

Having your mana spring centered around your colony is a great way to gain easy access to the much needed resource.
How you treat your mana spring depends on how factions treat you. And if you treat it badly, well, I guess you'll just have to find out.... πΏπ

More Mana! MORE! Mana is a huge currency in the game that comes from rare mama springs.
Its wise to set up your colony close by to one. πΏπ
