When the macro market’s in chaos, capital scrambles for safe havens; once regulations are crystal clear, institutions go hunting for viable channels.
On one side, PwC has confirmed it’s all-in on crypto business, doubling down on the compliant market that followed the GENIUS Act.
Up until now, the digital asset industry has been stuck in the crosshairs of regulators. Constant crackdowns forced companies to scale back their product lines. But now, with the GENIUS Stablecoin Act moving forward and U.S. regulators making a real shift to a crypto-friendly stance, PwC US CEO Paul Griggs has pledged full commitment. They’re already advising clients on how to use stablecoins to boost payment efficiency. More big institutions are ditching their passive “playing defense against regulatory crackdowns” approach, and switching to actively leveraging the compliant environment to grow their businesses.
On the other side, U.S. military operations in Venezuela have sparked geopolitical shocks, Maduro’s arrest, crude oil price swings, and Bitcoin promptly surged past $93,000 in response.

🇰🇷 $KRWQ has just launched as the first Korean won stablecoin on Coinbase’s Base Layer 2, built by @iqofficial and @fraxfinance , leveraging LayerZero’s omnichain standard and Stargate bridge for multichain transfers. It’s pegged 1:1 with the won and targets global DeFi and institutional use, but isn’t available to Korean residents yet as new local regulations are still pending.
