Pretty relaxed after today really even though it was disappointing. Arteta is 7 years into’ project anti football’ and fair play, he’s nailed it. Iraola is 4 months in, we’ve beaten some good sides already and plenty scope and time to improve.

I don’t defend simulation/exaggeration, but I did love the double standard from Neville. Isak wrong for not making enough of shirt pull, Mac wrong for making too much of his incident. Almost as if he just wants to have a go at LFC players. Funny that.

So refs/VAR won’t give a penalty now unless players appeal for it? Ok. Thats new, but at least we know.

Was just going to make the same point. He’s playing better and he brings a better balance to the midfield. Love that Iraola has absolutely full faith in him
That start is absolutely deserved for Nyoni. He is in on merit. Quite simply, he’s better than Gravenberch at the moment.

I honestly think there could go down. Man for man they are dreadful, no leaders, disarray behind the scenes and a shite manager.

What was with Chelsea deciding to just stop the game and have a water break before their penalty? More importantly, why did the ref just let them?

If a Liverpool fan had been an attention seeking melt after the City game and said he’s not getting a haircut until we win 5 games, he would be going in for a nice sensible trim after 17 days. Too soon if anything. There are levels to these things.

Very much just one to get through tonight. Plenty players rested and hopefully fresh for Sunday, one step closer to a nice day out at Anfield South, and Chelsea remain our penalty bitches. That’ll do nicely.

Interesting decision coming up for Iraola because 2 things are true at the same time - Dom was our stand out player last season and deserves credit for that in a very difficult time - Our midfield balance has looked much better while he’s been injured

All jokes aside with Araujo, the reputation & love that he’s getting really is telling. For all we love skill, great goals and silky play, fans still love nothing more than a player who gives his all, will throw his body on the line and looks like really fucking matters to him.

3rd and unbeaten after 7 games. Not a bad start all in all

Lots to like there. Defended well, great tempo, nice balance in the middle some lovely link up and some really good performances. Definitely feels like it’s starting to click now

Who would have thought that a manager who couldn’t get Middlesbrough out of the Championship, then did half decent because they had 1 game a week and Bruno was on fire, would turn out to be woefully unqualified for the job. Well, me for one. And it’s hilarious

Bit of a silly ending but overall a very fun night and good performance. Great for Barcola to get up and running

Frimpong is fine until he’s asked to do any defending. Bit of an issue for a full back

I know it’s funny because it’s United, but that’s a bullshit red card for Yoro.

People are quick enough to jump on refs errors, but that’s an exceptional advantage for Cov’s third goal
