I know nothing about Burnham or his politics. But I see nothing wrong with the former mayor of Manchester wearing clothes from one of the last factories trying to keep a regional manufacturing tradition alive and employing skilled garment workers at fair wages in the process.

At the White House State Dinner, His Majesty King Charles III presented President Trump with the original bell from HMS Trump, a British submarine launched in 1944 during the Second World War.
Once hung on the submarine’s conning tower, the polished brass bell stands as a reminder of our nations’ shared wartime history and enduring alliance.
As His Majesty said: “May it stand as a testimony to our nations’ shared history and shining future. And should you ever need to get hold of us, well, just give us a ring!”
From history to partnership, the UK/US relationship continues to ring true.

Hugely honoured to welcome HRH The Princess Royal to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Riding Troop.
The Riding Troop was formed after WWII when King George VI recognised a need for a battery of horse-drawn artillery after the mechanisation of the rest of the Royal Artillery.
It became the King’s Troop of today, when, during a visit by the Monarch in 1946, he struck out the word ‘riding’ from the visitor’s book and wrote ‘King’s’ in its place!
From that moment, the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery has remained a proud ceremonial mounted battery, taking the lead at grand occasions of State like monarch’s birthdays, funerals and the firing of Royal Salutes.
The modern King’s Troop even offers a farrier and saddlery apprenticeship.
