This is left-wing advocacy, not reporting.
DeFede buries the DCA’s actual findings: not public money, the grand jury overstepped its authority, the report was improperly disclosed, and State Attorney Jack Campbell broke the law.
Usual “scandal” framing and a forced narrative.
This morning I examine the appeals court striking down the Hope Florida grand jury report, @GovRonDeSantis’s reaction, and why his admin’s decision to take $10 million that could have helped Floridians but instead ended up in his PAC, remains an issue

Hey @MyFDOT and @FLDEPNews — let’s get this fixed!
Florida State Parks staff are out in the field today assessing the state parks for damage. Through these assessments we’ve found that the road at Grayton Beach State Park was washed out during the storm. These early surveys of the State Parks are an integral part of repairing the damage and getting our parks back open as soon as possible.
Thank you to our staff who make this possible!

Here’s a great summary by the 1st DCA on the end of the Hope Florida Hoax.
No wrongdoing.
No misappropriation.
Complete vindication.
It’s over.

You know how every few years you’ll see footage that you’ve never seen before on 9/11 and wonder how you’ve never seen it before
Well that’s exactly what this is for me
Chris York is on a family vacation and most of his footage is on the rooftop of Liberty Court a few blocks away from the World Trade Center
In it, you see clear footage of the twin towers about a week before the September 11th attacks. Beautiful day, manhattan looks great.
Then there’s a long delay in his camera roll. When it resumes (1 minute mark) the north tower is struck. You can see the earliest first responders at the base of wtc1 - including battalion chief’s Joseph pfiefer
While Chris is filming, the South tower is struck, and he recalled later that he could physical feel the blast and the heat of the explosion.
In my opinion this is rare footage and perspective 500 feet above the streets and 500 feet below the strikes.
Never forget what took place 25 years ago today. Love and respect to those involved, those affected, and our great heroes who saved so many lives. Good bless America and its people.

To secure our future, we need to acknowledge, as @GovRonDeSantis does, that Islamic jihadists launched the 9/11 attacks, and the presence of their ideology in our world and our country, remain as strong as ever. On this 25th anniversary, we honor those who died and the many who acted heroically to rescue survivors and comfort the families of the victims. To truly honor those victims, we must recognize the ongoing threat to Americans' safety and freedom and diligently oppose an ideology that seeks our destruction.
25 years later, the terrorist attacks of 9/11/2001 seem both raw and distant.
On the one hand, the news reports that day have been seared into the American consciousness like few, if any, events in American history.
The heroism displayed by the civilians and first responders who risked — and in some instances gave — their lives to rescue others from burning towers represents the American spirit at its finest.
This is also true of the selfless actions of the passengers on United Flight 93, who spared hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent civilians from a similar fate that befell those killed in the WTC.
On the other hand, the unity displayed following those attacks seems like a distant memory. America has since been chastened by suboptimal outcomes in foreign conflicts, has foolishly imported foreigners who hate the US, and has largely forgotten the lessons of 9/11.
We don’t commemorate today’s 25th anniversary because “somebody people did something,” as one member of Congress has claimed.
The US was attacked by foreign Islamic jihadists who were willing to kill as many civilians as possible in furtherance of their religious and ideological agenda.
That agenda is as present today throughout the world as it was in 2001. Indeed, it is much stronger within the borders of the United States than it was on the day of the terrorist attacks.
Honoring the memory of those killed on 9/11 requires us to be clear-eyed about the belief system that precipitated the terrorist attacks and the ongoing threat posed by that belief system.
Never forget should mean never forget

David Jolly, three parties ago: Republican.
David Jolly today: abortion codified, assault weapons banned, gun registry, Medicaid expansion — and asking Florida to call it "moderate."
He didn't evolve. He auditioned. Republican → Independent → Forward Party → Democrat. A man with four parties has no principles left to govern with.

Would it be great if DeSantis could strut out of the Governor’s office telling certain people to “eff off”..
Of course.
But I, for one, would actually like him to be elected to something again someday. So if he has to play a few political games to get back, so be it.

Which is one reason why I said I would have vetoed the bill when I was a candidate at the time.
Governor, @SenRickScott not only stripped young adults Second Amendment Rights, he also passed “Red Flag” gun confiscation that violates multiple Amendments to the Bill of Rights. Making Florida the only State in the entire South with gun laws comparable to Illinois and NY.
.@RonDeSantis is right. If Flock cameras were around in 2020, Big Government would have used them to crack down on Americans who refused to be locked down or comply with vaccine mandates.
