My 14 year old son was invited to a sleepover. He has a big soccer game in Capital City tomorrow, so I picked him up at 2am. He brought his nerf guns. The boys stole each others phones and pranked called their girlfriends. Some of his friends couldn't come because they have jobs. 14 for a boy is such a difficult time. Between boyhood and manhood. I remember myself at that age mourning the childhood I felt slipping away. I hope that he gets through it without too much pain. And I weep now because I know that his childhood is almost gone, and soon he won't be my little boy anymore.
