Today marks the 10 year anniversary of #DACA. It's allowed thousands to pursue their education and make contributions to their communities. Though it's created opportunities for 800k+ people, the fight is far from over for a pathway to citizenship. #DACA10 #DecadeofDACA

Colleges that have had the most success implementing #AB705 had faculty buy-in and supported their faculty with embedded tutors and professional development. So, why are the bill’s sponsors opposed to adding this?

We oppose #AB1705 because it doesn’t provide any faculty support and our amendments continue to be rejected. We are not trying to roll back #AB705, despite claims made by some proponents.

Today is likely to be the hottest day of the summer so far! The hottest conditions are expected in southeast Lake county where a heat advisory is in effect this afternoon. Drink plenty of fluids if you must be outside and take special care of pets, children, and the elderly.
